top jew mate,no matter if its jew 1,2,3,etc you still feel the adrenaline rush on every hook up,i know i do anyway especially when you see the rod sream on first run.
chris
Mate i fish the same set up as yours for 2yrs and had no issues.Fished both rod types roller and guides and i stuck to the rod with guides found it more than ample to do the deep drops.
chris.
Excellant catch, good to see another great post from the hawkesbury river system.Good to see you landed the mighty mulloway even after the close call with other boat.
Brett don,t worry about just using california squid,i nailed a 19kg on bottle squid on stockton beach this time last year, you should of persisted to sunrise as the tailor/salmon come on the bite so do jews if around and feeding.Plenty of sharks to contend with there also.Good luck on your dvd .
Nice work brett good to see you landing a great feed.Don,t think it,ll be long before you nail a large jew as your definately fishing the right areas with big bait ZZZzzzzzzzzz can,t beat it hey?
Hey slink mate use a reef anchor to suit boat, don,t go over kill.At retrieve time take up slack and motor to the side SLOWLY. at worst senario prongs straighten a bit,as for plough anchor there excellant in mud/sand.I carry the two mate and chain/ ropes to cover all areas just feel more comfortable. Most times reef anchors hold you still on sand if chain is adequate and its not overly windy.
Great report, good to see jackie is keen on her fishing. That jetty looks familiar, when i was down that way, look forward forward to your future posts.Did you eat the tommy ruffs?
Good to see a few kings come aboard after all that effort. .
We definately need a leatherjacket comp i,ll definately be in for that one They definately make offshore fishing expensive don,t they .
