Hey all, had a great but short fish this morning & caught a cracker 80cm flatty. My previous best was like 55cm which was caught about 5 mile out of Sydney. Even though the wind came up earlier than I expected I still caught about 20 fish in 2 hours!

Hi raiders, put in at 6am & before even getting into the bay there were birds bomb diving everywhere so I already had a new 18gr metal loaded & cast it amongst the boils, first cast first hit, gotta love that Within 5 minutes had landed 7 or so taylor. Then of for an explore & the next 3 hours were pretty entertaining with a real mixed bag, whiting, bream, flatties(2@ 47 & 48cm) sergeants, heaps of squire but none legal. Anyway a great day had by 9.30am so decided to get out of that wind. Spoke to some guys that were fishing the 3rd runway & they caught a few rat kings & salmon! Great to see the bay so alive & cant wait to get out to the hacking for the next trip next week.

Its a different water system so I dont think it could affect the hacking unless it comes in via the heads!

Nice feed, any tips on where you got the jewy? Only caught them in the river before not in the bay.

Make sure you drop into the info centre near the marina & get a marine map, There are sanctuary's all over the place & they will be out to get people for sure!

Nice work dredog, I think we are pretty spoilt here for fish & that's why everyone steers clear of fish lime salmon & boneto etc but if treated right & bled straight away they are pretty good to eat. Smoking is a great way to eat as well!
