I was thinking wouldnt it ve great if we had a special fishraider sticker on the side of the boat and that way you can spot a member straight away, what do you reckon?

Though, I can already spot @DerekD's hobie from a mile away!

  2. Hi All,

Had a nice day out on the water on Thursday morning.

Weather way great. Nice flat water.

Tried for a few squid off Kernell - with no luck.

Went of for a trawl down to Cronulla for about 8 foot long Bonito - kept us busy.

Tried for flatty's on a few drifts past Towra off Kernell ramp with no luck.

On the way back stopped in at Woolaware Bay between the moorings, first stop landed my bait on this guys head.

    Very Happy.

    Cheers,

  3. what a smashing day on he water. we didn't do too well on the fishing stakes but didn't expect too much. started out at the heads and drifted all the way to bundeena wharf with a couple of bites and mutton birds hanging around diving deep and stealing out baits. we then headed in a bit and fished black water bay for baby snapper every cast. soon got sick of that and headed down sth west arm and got more baby snapper. we then fished the chanel near lilli pilli for a few tiny flathead. back out to bass and flinders point on dusk for not even a bite. no take home catch but a fun day on the water. boat went really well for its second time out.

  4. Hey guys,

Finally got the boat together (mostly) took it for a 2 hr run last week with its new 90hp Honda (smooth), now I need to fish.

Thinking of putting in at water st port hacking about 11am then trying a few spots any ideas where they might be running?

Possibly take it outside if the day is good down the coast a little. Once again any ideas for spot to catch a few flatty.

    Hope it all goes well.

    Cheers,

    Steve

  5. hope this never happens. marine ply floor screws down so I think I am going to get some foam blocks from clark rubber and cut them to fit

  6. I have aluminium boat and thinking of putting a set of 4 wobble rollers at the back so its easier to drive on and leaving the slides at the front (have heard that wobble rollers leave dings)

any ideas on setup most welcome

  7. I go to Kiola every year from boxing day to the 12th Jan.... this year I will be taking the new boat. yay

Put in at this ramp plenty of times, even off the sand. (got the wifes car bogged once, lol) anyhow, I was wondering where I can clean my motor on return?

We stay at the pretty beach campground and there are no facilities? Anyone know of a tap I can hook up to to run fresh water through the new motor?

I know most places have tank water down there.

    Regards

  8. Hi Guys,

Started working on the new boat. Pulled up the marine ply to find this guy has crushed up old foam fruit boxes and put them under the floor......

Don't think this would have done anything?

    Does it even need floatation?

Its a 5.4 mtr aluminium Bermuda runabout.

    any advice?

  9. Hi all,

I have an old fiberglass Nautiglass 16ft half cabin that I have stripped, how do I get rid of the shell it has holes that need fairly extensive work to repair so I am buying a newer aluminum boat for my motor.

It has been suggested to chop it up and put a little in the bin each week but this sounds messy and time consuming.

    Any ideas?

Is there a boat dumping ground?

    Regards,

    Steve

  10. Hey, its busy enough at Christmas as we go every year, awesome spot to camp with the family. Can be a pretty tough ramp at low tide I sunk the missus SUV (bogged in the sand below the concrete ramp). Insurance company wasn't too impressed.

Caught flatties and reds. Didn't really know any spots would like some advise or GPS locations. All the other boats seemed to be going north as there is fishing reserve south of kiola ramp.
