I think you posted this on the wrong forum Ed.

They are not a real sport fish. They are merely an oversized gold fish. I would never put a line in my fish tank, that's the equivalent. They pretty much just spelt the name wrong! CRAP not carp!

6inch nemisis, whip baits, flick baits and my all time favorite, a peeled raw prawn on a jighead!

They work like a lure just bouncing along the bottom. Becareful with the assist hooks as they are connected by Dacron and have a tendency to scuff up on toothy critters after a while. As raiders have said, the jackets love em! There are way better performing lures for snapper than those. Cheers scratchie!!!

They maybe about but I think they'll be a lot further out than that. I was hoping to chase longtail tomorrow but I think it might be a struggle to find them. Well, you never know unless you have a go!

Not worth land based in the ocean. Went and had a look this morning and there's more debris than my kids bedroom! I can see the dirty water stretches at least 10km offshore.

Only the prawns. So I'll cook them up and they'll still work a treat on the snapper!

Haven't fish lake cathie for blackfish but the lake itself holds some cracking whiting. Have caught many there on surface poppers and prawns. The shallows behind the run out bridge are the best area to target them. If you have access to a kayak even better! Settlement point at port has a great spot land based to catch flatty, bream and whiting especially around high tide. Hope that helps! Cheers scratchie!!!

G'day raiders, So, after getting a few lures I didn't need this morning, I sorted a few things for work and thought of take the kids to corlette and wet a line as they have no school due to power outage. It was high tide so no chance of pumping nippers, so I drop into my local bottle'o to get some prawns. The manager tells me I can have what I want as they lost power to and need to get rid of them. Well, having cleaned my bait freezer yesterday and the power returned, I said I'd take the lot if he didn't want them...... Sweet, enough bait, if not berley for the rest of the year!
