  1. Great stuff Ben. You two are on fire! I know what you mean about shift work too, killer. Some good fish there though and that bream is a cracker! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. First looks like a tarwhine and second a trumpeter
  3. I'm pretty sure we've seen the end of the little blacks. There maybe a few blue out really wide. The longtail haven't been on the bay for last two weeks and have heard any reports of any, so they may have moved on. Water really cold and murky with a lot of ground swell this week.
  4. Guys, there up here same time year after year. Probably the best time to target jew from the beach as they follow the schools. However, I have noticed that the bay seems pretty quiet when the netters are about! Hmmmm Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. Well, I'm going to give the bay a run today with the kids. Targeting jew, flatty, whiting. There's a bit of rain about up here but the tides and barometer are good. Fingers crossed.
  6. Sorry, rego label that sticks to the boat.
  7. I registered my boat just then and they gave me a sticker over the counter.
  8. Now that's what I'm talking about! What a great couple of days. Congrats to you and the crew. Awesome getting someone there first marlin. Just an unforgettable moment. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Welcome to fishraider opfkfpo and what a way to open your account. Glad we could help and what a great boat you've got for the big blue. Reading through our forums will also help you, as there are many experienced fishos that offer great advice and not just on the gamefishing either! Enjoy and well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Awesome stuff deano. I know swordy was looking forward to the trip, so at least the two of you got to go! Congrats on your first. I'm still yet to tick that box. Maybe when I'm old and need a nanna nap like you fellas, I might join you! Lol Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Cheers mate. And Glen is all signed up and is a raider now too!
  12. Nice fish. Yeah the dollies are certainly spirited buggers out the water. And better still, fantastic on the plate. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Good work there James! Great mixed bag for a feed. Do you eat the dart? Never tried one before. Haven't heard they're great eating. Although I'm sure a few brews went down a treat. Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Great fish and congrats on the PB. I would definately put that in for cotm as well. Nice to see the big bruts around. Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Sounds like an eventful trip! And an expensive one too! Let's hope they don't mail you out any fines. Let's see some good fish too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Hey Gerry, There was some good talk from the canyons as well as the shelf. Mate, we didn't try catch any bonito because the heads were full of slimies, football fields long busting the surface. We also marked and picked up some good slimies out there. A lot of coral spawn about and water was cold. Good luck champ, hope you get that big blue! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Lol. agh there were a few game boats that wanted the same lines as us. And when we hooked up, they wouldnt move either. Will put that one in the memory bank.
  18. G'day raiders, Just a quick report from yesterday. Managed to get out with fellow raider stickybeak and his mate Glen. The mission of the day was to get his mate a marlin. Well, we succeeded after much effort trolling, live baiting but we managed to get a nice blue on a skip bait. A 120kg blue tagged and released just in time for us to head back home with a big, dark, black angry sky heading our way! It wasn't a comfortable feeling being in a trailerboat knowing a big storm was on its way. But we managed to get the boat on the trailer just as it hit and boy did it bucket down with temperature dropping rapidly. All in all a great day out. Location: carpark Water: 21.8deg Method: skip bait Thanks stickybeak and Glen! Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Fair call redman, and a cracking fish at that. Nothing wrong with bringing home a feed either. Thanks for sharing! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. I never got the chance. Unweighted fresh or live squid drop down the current and your a chance. 4th place king 11.4kg was caught there!
  21. No mate, I was doing the family thing today!
  22. Well mick, I think you stole my spot as that's looking very much like nelson breakwall??? Mate, you'll get that with the tourists up here especially if they only know one spot to fish. Cheers scratchie!!!
  23. Lol. I use sounder and gps on each trip but I also try to look for landmarks I can line up just incase technology fails me!
  24. I think your right. I only had a quick look from my phone. My bad.
