  1. We were in Jerusalem two weeks ago and the temp was 4 degrees one morning. You really need warm clothes as it is bitterly cold there in winter. We are in a Riviera 47 Enclosed called Eeyore and will anchor in the middle of the bay. Say g'day as you pass.
  2. We have a bigger boat and go to smiths creek for a few days at a time. The only place we have caught fish is whiting off the shallow water in front of the low tide beach at the bottom. The mouth produces fish I am told it have never fished there as we like to peace and quiet found further in. Down on the moorings there is mobile reception the rest is a black hole.
  3. Good catch. We fished Pittwater yesterday for zilch other than millions of little reddies.
  4. Great fish to catch. Used to have a boat berthed there and loved the fishing so close to the boat. Saved a fortune on fuel that way.

    Bob day today

Gee that is a good catch. You clearly know what you are doing.
  6. I had a boat berthed there years ago and there are plenty of flathead in those waters, at least, there were.
  7. Meant winter months. Stupid auto correct.
  8. In the Hawkesbury you get that mostly in the windier months, particularly in the bays.
  9. Great fish. I used to catch big Flatties off quarantine years ago. Probably all fished out now.
  10. You did well to fish the heads, that can be really rough there.
  11. One great Kingy. Now I feel inadequate as my biggest is only 70cms. I am very good at catching them undersized.
  12. I am off to Jerusalem Bay tomorrow straight after we pick up our son from school. Will be there until Sunday morning hoping we can land a Hairy or two.
  13. That is great fishing. I think we might head up there over the school holidays. Trouble is it is a very slow ride in the boat from cottage point on.
  14. Very good catch. Congratulations to you both.
  15. Good catch. Used to catch a bunch of bream that size and bigger off the Gladesville point marina.
  16. At our marina in Pittwater there are the biggest mullet I have ever seen in schools swimming around the berths. When I was a kid we used to get jag hooks and cast into them and then strike. They were all foul booked and a mongrel to bring in. That was at picnic point. Many years ago I assure you.
  17. We are out there all the time as the boat is berthed at church point and I haven't heard of it. Could definitely happen though as the water is clear, deep and open.
  18. The folk you mention will most likely deep fry the undersized fish. Live in the knowledge that one day an inspector will get them. I don't agree with cutting their line, who wants to get in a fight when you want to go fishing? Each to their own. Live in peace I say.
  19. Good on you Ken for having the foresight to start Fishraider.
  20. The warmest clothing you own will help a lot.
  21. I hope they eat the wild rabbits we have eating our grass (lawn is too fancy a word for what we have) or visa versa.
