  1. Motoroil grubZ, atomic shad, atomic hardz 38, ecogear sx40
  2. Basically as above. But I use a spray bottle with hit water (because of the small siphon tube it's warm when it exits) Give it a light spray from a couple of angles but not up under the rotor etc. The warm water definitely helps over cold. I also use a very thin stream of hot water from the tap to wash the braid, rotating as I go and not allowing any near the drag. I often remove spool to do this to avoid too much water entering. Wipe with baby wipe or just damp cloth, then if I'm feeling motivated I put some inox on a rag (do not spray directly onto reel and never a penetrant like wd40) and wipe to give it a bit of a coating. And makes it nice and shiny
  3. Excellent work man that's a great result on the plastics! Zmans are the first thing I tie on
  4. Nice arvo there Nurse, no mystery eagle ray this time but sounds like it was enjoyable!
  5. Haha I did indeed have you in mind mate. Your little battle ship is a great piece of kit (still envious of your motor [emoji14])
  6. Mate for your size weight and requirements I'd go for one of the under 400 buck packages that are floating around. Gives you a good idea of what it's all about without breaking the bank. Theyre also short and light so easy to transport.
  7. I've converted to lures in a huge way as of a couple of years ago, it's a whole different style and it certainly produces the goods for me! Situation dependent. But I agree with Adam you definitely end up with more quality fish as the pickers are eliminated more. And you cover more water quickly. Bait definitely still has a place for me. For example breaming if I throw an unweighted prawn down the side of a pontoon versus a plastic on the same pontoon 9/10 times the prawn gets nailed quick smart and the plastic has slightly less success. Luring is very versatile. I keep my rod and my lures in the back of the car so if I stop off for an hour I can clean up on bream. So in that sense it does catch more [emoji14]
  8. Awesome work mate very nice first report and that's a cracker of a flatty! We've got the same yak I think how you liking it? Also how do you manage the loading unloading process? They're not the lightest [emoji14] Keep the reports coming!
  9. Epic mate! Very well done. Hbs get addictive and rozelles a great place to fish em. Keep hammering the edge of that sandbar near the canal. Have a few released big girls there that might still be hanging around [emoji14] Great pb I'm sure it'll keep creeping up!
  10. Epic man, always fun on light gear! Slaying it at the moment! Some of those hbs lip less cranks or just divers and walk the dogs?
  11. Hey mate it's 3.85m bout 30 kilos. Not the absolute easiest to load but she's big and stable. I bought mine from C-kayaks in taren point under the name "Scorpio terrapin xl" For bigger blokes it's perfect taken it out on the hacking quite a few times got my pb snapper and loads of bream out on the flats. Main reason I really like it compared to the smaller ones is the foot controlled rudder! Its priceless. So easy to turn and makes tracking straight in current easy as
  12. Baha! Love it! Bit of oil and some drag grease and she'll be right mate

Plastics but same idea. Yup its a big process we've got the kit to do it but still takes time. We usually Crack open a few of the last batch and make a day of it 62 is one I've been looking at will have to give It a go!
  14. Cheers Chelub! I know you're a keen surface fisherman so I can finally say I know why you love it haha
  15. Mate after trying the majors like power pro, fireline, fireline exceed, and sunline super pe I've really really been enjoying the YGK oh dragon. Can't overstate it. Smooth thin round and slick. Flies off the reel and you feel every touch. Just my two cents. Unitika varivas and toray also make excellent stuff. Give em a go. Unitika is probably the best bang for buck it's the same price as the bigger brands pretty much
  16. Mate I've got the larger cousin of these, same deal China mass produced and sold under different names. I love it. Not the highest quality fittings but can't really screw up rotomoulded plastic. Got mine in a similar bundle deal for 700 and mine is suitable for offshore. Bum gets a bit sore after 6 hours on the water but it's a great way to fish without the hassle of boating. Probably wouldn't go as far as buying a hobie although I would love one. Could get a tinnie for a bit more. But it gets me off the bank and I've had some cracker catches
  17. Very nice man! I love exploring creeks and walking new water. Great way to fish. Good to see you getting a few as well they're some healthy looking fish keep it up.
  18. Mate there was actually zero structure. Just endless sand / mud in the back of the bay. looked like typical flatty only territory so when I started getting boils I was surprised [emoji14] weed beds would be ideal gotta find some good ones.Get em out while the weathers still warm mate!
  19. Baha! Nice one mate at least it wasn't doughnuts I'll be working round the area this week if you've got time for a sesh
  20. Nice one mate good to see you getting out on the water! Bad luck on the slim day but just makes the good sessions special! You might have to come to the dark side and try out my zman grubZ no picker problems there [emoji14] Keep it up man
  21. Thanks mate yeah its an awesome strike. Used the brown purple one a colour I've got in a few lures and they seem to like it! I'll have to try the pink! Haha mate any time (if you don't mind learning off a one hit wonder [emoji14] need a session soon regardless man)
  22. Cheers Pete! Hopefully the first of many Thanks Donna!
  23. What a fish! Excellent work stew!
  24. G'day raiders! Been a while since I've put up a report (now that I've found my photos a bigger report will follow) But had to chuck up my first success with bream on surface lures! Been working near strathfield for a while so I've had the opportunity to head down to the Parra on the way home. Stopped off Thursday afternoon a couple of hours into the run in, found the water at the back of the bay to only be a Metre deep at most so surface was the order of the day! Have been flicking these lures around periodically this summer but only managed tailor so far ( they're still so fun though with their violent smash!) Started flicking a little 3b scumdog around and had boils and missed hits a plenty! Haven't had many hits lately on surface so I couldn't resist persisting after I was due home to cook for the Mrs [emoji14] Eventually after twitching and pausing for a while I hear a massive "bream kiss" a splash, and my drag sings! Finally! After a very spirited fight in came a nice 30 cm model! To say I was stoked is an understatement. Think I'll be using these a bit more often now! Setup was my new patriarch 1-3kg rod (beautiful rod and a new favourite) paired with my sweet little 2004h luvias 0.6pe braid and 4 lb leader. Thanks for reading guys! Bigger report with my recent adventures to come Cheers Witha
