I was up there just after Christmas. My BIL has a shack down on Bynoe Bay where we stayed. The back "patio" was on the beach itself and you walked down the beach, set out your mud crab trap and threw the float up in the trees. When the tide came in the trap was 7 metres underwater and there was no beach.
The wet season is not the place to be if you don't like humidity, at 9am is was 31 degrees and 88% humidity.
Great write up and brought back fond memories.
