  1. Oh, the old Yowie Loepard Shark hey. Latin "Yowie didis see'is swimmin"
  2. That certainly is impressive, I would guess there's never been so many Luderick caught in one session on Fly. Great work.
  3. This is not a guess on what it was (see earlier post ) maybe a juvenile/adult of the species, hence the colour variation.
  4. Now this is my last guess Parasccyllium ferrugineum or Asymbolis analis So many Catsharks, so little time
  5. Ok .. last guess Catshark and maybe Asymbolus rudiginosus
  6. Only other spotted shark I can think of is a Gummy shark but wrong colour.
  7. Nice work Yowie. Shark maybe a Wobby, that's all I got with the colour and spots
  8. Great report there KB, nice King and I recon it's a Sampson to mate. Better than work hey.
  9. Just note This post goes back to 2009, These days if 2 people were fishing you are only allowed 10 person . 20 in total
  10. Your right Neil, makes you think how it should be, simple things like this makes you glad your still around to enjoy and most (like me) doesn't get the chance to enjoy it as much I should. Not a thousand words ..... but....................................
  11. Great photos you two, a picture says a thousand words.
  12. Paddy, there is another similar fish that hangs around what your describing. Its called a Pilot Fish, now I'm not saying that the fish you saw weren't Cottonmouth Trevally.
  13. I've seen a couple over the years caught by other anglers, never caught one myself. Gives you some idea of their distribution https://australianmuseum.net.au/cottonmouth-trevally-uraspis-secunda
  14. For the purists Blue Warehou "Seriolella brama"
  15. For the Purists Cottonmouth Trevally. Uraspis secunda
  16. Hard to get perspective, what size roughly was it.
  17. Thats a great capture especially off the stones .... of days gone by and especially a rare capture down here these days. Though I have heard of a couple taken Sydney/Pittwater. Credible reports they "were" in Botany Bay busting up as well.
  18. Silver Sweep, Scorpis lineolata and a good size one at that.
  19. Vice president of the International Committee.
  20. There are plenty of Blue Groper swimming around so if you wanted to knock one on its head that certainly wouldn't be a problem. But at the end of the day, the angler who caught the fish has the call on releasing or keeping it for a feed.
  21. No problems mate, I recon they are more unusual than the Banded. Cool catch.
  22. Spotted Wobbygong. Orectolobus maculatus.
  23. My guess would be a Largescale Saury Sauria undosquamis. And big one at that. They have come up on here a few times.
