  4. Yeah Swordy I was thinking along that Rankin cod line as well till I had a look to refresh the grey mater. Certainly not a Rankin. Ok I'll have a punt, Eight bar Groper (Juvenile) Epinephelus octofasciatus More pcs would be good.
  5. No idea, if you ask them what area would certainly help.
  6. I'm calling it a False/Southern Fusilier, plus its also has a few other common names.Thats why Steve and I always put up a Latin name.
  7. I'm going to call it a False Fusilier Paracaesio xanthura. Unusual. Could be a Fishraider record.
  8. Gee Scratchie you bloody make it hard to add without missing someone deserving. Going to miss JonD's articles as his daughter is about the same age as mine. As Jons, she loves the water and has done here fair share of fishing and diving but has a different direction in her interests these days, but thats all part of growing up to be the person they are. On-Ya mate.
  9. Looks cold there Janifin, but you look successful . Great seeing your reports from a different part of the world with we don't experience. Thanks.
  10. Yeah I changed my mind when I saw the yellow on top of the beak . Good photo John.
  11. Not being a being a "Twitcher" but i'd call it a Black-Shouldered Kite. Or a Grey Goshawk ... told you I wasn't to good at this.
  12. Nice catch Trigunner54. The Catfish is a Estuary Catfish/Cobbler Cnidoglanis macrocephalous.
  13. No blue dots on the flanks(sides) on a Grassy but this one you can see them faintly.
  14. First one is a Fanbelly Leatherjacket. Monacanthus chinensis. And the Second is a Juvenile Spangled Emperor. Lethrinus nebulous. My reason for the Emperor is you can see the blue spots starting to appear on the side where Grassys I believe don't have them. Thats my guess.
  15. 2nd chance in life, you've got to be happy with that. Good on you.
  16. Thats a great catch Waz, congratulations.
  17. Spanish and Spotted Mackerel certainly have been caught off Sydney, but very rare.
  18. Great report mate, if the family has a fun day everyones a winner .
  19. Great picture you painted there BN and then water skier, ahhhhhhhhh. Your perseverance paid of, great work.
