  1. Drag won't be an issue but we'll see you a mile off with the rooster tail your going to make. [emoji6]. Your motor will get a wash down constantly which is not good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Lake Macquarie is well known to have large sharks and Ray's. Done great sand flats on the eastern shore that you can watch the Rays swim past. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Check polarisation against your radio too. Should be horizontal polarised. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Polarised safety glasses from the green hardware store. Good thing is they have provision for lanyard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I would be interested if a day course becomes available. Ric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. He was there with 12 of his friends chilling out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Nice mixed bag. Were you one of the boats safety checked by maritime just past the island. We caught donuts but weren't trying too hard. We watched the locals basking on the rock wall for a bit before making a run in before the change hit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That's priceless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Looks like the shore based fishos are te winners as the ave cganged mist of the areas to be habitat protection instead of sznctuary zones. Boaters are sill out if luck but we havd a big ocezn to fish . Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk

Top idea. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
  11. If just using as shroud on a line you could get the cheapest material possible bearing in mind that heat shrink is effectively rubber tubing that will wear away fairly easily and crushes under any impact. Teflon tubing is usually a bit more rigid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Teflon will require a higher temp than a hair dryer will be able to provide but is a better product. PTFE tubing has good wear resistance and is usually uv stabilised. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Great idea. I think I have a trip to the big gardening store coming up. [emoji41] I always flush the trailer after being out for the day but will look at setting up a flush system for whilst I'm in the water Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Garden sprinkler type setup with the small heads or something larger with high pressure? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Lots of smokes and s visit from epa/local constables if you have grumpy neighbours. They need extremely high tolerate disposal to be safe (eg kiln or furnace). The flares are even worse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah I hear you, but to be honest it is probably targeted at the upper end of the market (read as people with more $$s that sense) in $100k+ wake boats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Interesting concept. It would probably work really well with the boat lock. Personally I would still want a manual backup in case you blow a hydraulic hose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Be real careful with the channel as it drops really shallow in sections coming into the lake. . 4 knots limit and about 30cms under the Sounder so take it easy. Berkeley vale ramp on the northern end is pretty good. Oak flats is shallow and plagued by jet skis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Another option if it is clear that is peeling is to strip back and let the al age naturally. It depends on the grade of aluminium used and whether bright al is the look you really need. There are a lot of aircraft and boat that don't use clear coat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Pm sent about the company I used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. http://www.9news.com.au/national/2015/08/25/22/01/hundreds-ordered-to-evacuate-on-nsw-south-coast-due-to-flooding Just watching the floods in Sussex inlet and amazed at how much water hazard hit the region over the last few days. Hope they water recedes quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hey muzza. You have to know exactly where you are fishing because parts of Botany Bay and Sydney harbour are considered open waters. Carrying water and flare kit is a small expense compared to the issue of fines if caught on the wrong side of bear island in Botany Bay. The boating safety book by rms page26-27 spells out the requirements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. 1kg of lemons and a litre of thousand island dressing please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Just a quick point about the weight, take the boat and trailer to your local weigh bridge. It shouldn't cost much, even your local tip should have a weigh bridge. Is the wire replaceable because it is horrible stuff once it ages a bit, rust and broken strands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I'm not sure. The one near me has a reasonable range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
