we have made a couple.one on a 550steber..two on milligan nippers..we used marine ply 10/12mm..cut to shape using cardboard to make a stencil first..we built in handles in the top plate ..we glassed our first ones ourselves then painted..last one I took to a pro fiberglasser and he charged $280 and flow coated it to match colour..they arnt hard to make .jig saw /circular saw/drill /file/sandpaper...rick

most blackies are caught from concrete footpath souther side of channel west of bridge..depending on how the channel is running sometimes the rock shelf south side near ocean run out tide..if they are there you will see others fishing....if in a boat there is acres of weedbeds to fish over..burley heavy and try string and cabbage..rick

take em off put em back in original bag to keep them soft...rick

I keep mine in original bags...never store them on hooks as they will rust very quickly..and.i use an old portable dvd bag with multiple compartments and have them sorted by size.it zips up and is easy to carry..has side pockets for jig heads..easy..rick

the old saying is true...you get what you pay for...I bought a DMK reel..cheap but I had to fully lubricate internals and grease drag properly...it works fine but doesn't have the nice solid feel of a better quality reel...it was bought as a spare for guests in the boat and doesn't get used a lot but does the job nicely...tip;be careful buying buyin reels and rods off the internet as they are usually lesser quality than they appear..rick
