  1. I am not the gun but squid fishing is like that in sydney. 4 in five casts or 1 in hours. If you can get to the spit bridge you can fish all the way to balmoral conditions do not change that much. Give the area around mosman rowing club ago.

  4. Out last Tuesday before the rain chasing kings because I've had no luck on the snapper. So what happens I catch a snapper! Caught on my version of a poor mans down rigger, running barrel sinker to swivel 90cm trace. Just off a reef straight out from manly 35mtrs deep using live yellow tail water temp 21 degrees. Did get some rats at Long Reef also. Not in Scratchies league but made me smile.

  19. Thursday left Roseville about six and set off for the heads a mate told me of good hook ups of bonito trolling towards Bondi. I love bonnies but didnt want to waste the chance at Mahi Mahi so decided to head to the Sydney fad. At 40mtrs saw bait fish jumping/ fleeing so put out two plugs. Got a hook up but lost it so trolled the rest of the way. About 1 km short of the FAD rod goes off plenty of weight after a short fight boated a nice Mac tuna. 50 mts from the fad hooked an even better specimen which took some time to land and went 60+ cm and thick as. Didnt sound or see any dollies, about three boats in the area one spot locked the others drifting so headed in. Got 2 nice calamari at obelisk to round off the day. Out of quriosity I checked out rosebay ramp and found 15min parking with a cafe/sandwich shop.
  20. Nice work was good out there on Thursday
  21. Sounds like a great day out I love fishing but I also love being in the boat. Would be great if there were more places to pull up and get a coffee or use the dunny. Any suggestions for Sydeny Harbour ?
