Lovely conditions today off Sydney light winds with low swell. Took a mate to a spot described to me as 60 meters deep can just see old mans hat. First drop drift a bit quick so threw out the drogue. Next drop came up tight on a nice pan sized Snapper. We ended up with a feed including a bluespot and a mowie. Using pilchard on paternosters, also released a pretty red gurnard. The bight went off so we looked around only to find a cuttle at mugs reef and some Aussie salmon at North head . My mate was stoked as he had not caught a snapper for years and had a doughnut last outing.

Very nice and added to my things to try list.

Keep going it only gets better lol if targeting tailor maybe try gang hooks even just two they will often bite the tail off first or a long lure like double clutch or twisty fast retrieve. But good job

I know a guy who works the shark nets He says lots of bull sharks and hammerheads around. The Tele today said chase bust ups with the smallest metal or plastic the conditions allow. Lots of Macs, Bonnies and frigate around.

I too like smaller lures I think because I did most of my fishing in the harbor. But fishing inshore I have caught 6" flaties on 5 " lures. Still learning

at least you got something decent went to the wave buoy today for 2 30cm models but trolling no live bait

Nice fish but surely divers can not just turn up and claim 50mtrs if boats are already there

I replace all my trebles with single hooks mostly so I can unhook the fish easier. I drop plenty but if your getting hook ups your doing the right things. Hard to keep pressure om when they jump!
