Your going about it the hard way - (this method works and needs 2 people) 1) hook the trailer to the car to stop it from lifting 2) keep the front winding strap on and take all the others off 3) push the boat off 3/4 of the way with a trolley jack under the centre 4) when its off far enough prop the sides with wooden logs

I have already done this to two of my boat trailers - my old one and the one I have now (for any trailer braked or un-braked trailer, if the weight is less than 254 there is no weight tax nore do you need it checked ever year) 1) first you need to go to a public weighbridge and have it weighed - (I used the one in Endfield) 2) then you have to take it to a petrol station that does blue slips to change the RTA records - this is best to be done prior to your rego been due so the record has already been changed - I save $100 on weight tax and no inspection

If you fish the Hawkesbury and do not mind the cold and night fishing you can target Hairtail in Smiths Creek / Coal Candle Creek or Jerusalem Bay - the best time to go is when there is no moon or wind and use gang hooks and float 1/2 meters below the surface.
