  1. A bit of berley never goes a miss - it sometimes brings the fish in
  2. Your going about it the hard way - (this method works and needs 2 people) 1) hook the trailer to the car to stop it from lifting 2) keep the front winding strap on and take all the others off 3) push the boat off 3/4 of the way with a trolley jack under the centre 4) when its off far enough prop the sides with wooden logs
  3. Great Photos, If you had one with the FAD in the background, you could of sent it in to the State Fisheries and collected a free Tee Shirt
  4. The other car is at fault - for for coming into the middle lane and not giving way to his/her right
  5. I think he better invest in a bigger boat with a lot higher sides - or may be a submarine --
  6. BaitDropper By the way, how much did it roughly set you back ?

Poke a piece of wire down the water outlet and wriggle it back and forth till the water comes out - I had a bit of weed in mine once
  8. I have already done this to two of my boat trailers - my old one and the one I have now (for any trailer braked or un-braked trailer, if the weight is less than 254 there is no weight tax nore do you need it checked ever year) 1) first you need to go to a public weighbridge and have it weighed - (I used the one in Endfield) 2) then you have to take it to a petrol station that does blue slips to change the RTA records - this is best to be done prior to your rego been due so the record has already been changed - I save $100 on weight tax and no inspection
  9. I have HYDROFOIL SE SPORT 300 (Plastic) on my Etec 115 the best thing I ever did to lift the arse up out of the water and plane quicker, after been told not to as in a tight turn it would turn my boat over (RUBBISH)
  10. If you wish to fix it your self ebay has the part
  11. Jeff, just sent you a PM with a persons Name & phone number to ring who specially maintains Etec engines, He did a fantastic job on mine
  12. Always wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) or buoyancy vest and have a personal EPIRP on you just in case
  13. last year I had my Evinrude 115 Etec serviced at Huett Marine - by the younger brother who was the only one left there, he changed my cable steering to hydraulic and fixed the engine blocks to stop them from rusting up, see the before and after. VID-20210609-WA0000.mp4
  14. If you fish the Hawkesbury and do not mind the cold and night fishing you can target Hairtail in Smiths Creek / Coal Candle Creek or Jerusalem Bay - the best time to go is when there is no moon or wind and use gang hooks and float 1/2 meters below the surface.
  15. Fishing Atlas to Sydney - Hawkesbury is a bit on the old side as it was published in 2010, I would have a look at Fishing Guide to Sydney - Hawkesbury as this book was published in Nov 2019
  16. I have a 2016 Stacer 509 Searunner which I find a great allround boat, Mine has a Evinrude 115 on it and is also good for towing a 3 man tube, I found that most owners of these boats kept them for around 12 to 15 years and then sold them for nearly as much they paid for them. PS. The second picture is without the baitboard on it. I also have the ski pole attachment
  17. I have been out to the Botany Bay & the new Botany Bay Wide 3 times this season with only one dolly caught (none around), the wind & large swell has been put a real dampener on it - not wasting any more of my time again this year as they will all come out soon

To stop the opportunist thief for a grab and run with your sounder I have also replaced the supplied screws with easy to undo screws with these type of screws (also the mounting screws are the same type with round head nuts)

    GPS tracking

The reason I have it is that my boat has a 12in HDS Live and the 3D structure scan on it (a lot of money in this equipment an do not want to part with it - the nav system is held in wit security screws as well

That is correct $99 upfront for the unit and $120 per year - I have had it for 3years now - its for piece of mine (I also have my boat insured as well) it seems to be very close to the boat Lorwance HDS Live GPS as well (within a meter or so)

  22. slowly fill it with clear nail polish
  23. The council can do nothing unless you have footage of them dumping it or evidence in the bags that can tie them to the rubbish -
  24. I am using Ashconfish Braid line I got on Ebay 0.80mm 25Lbs and a 6ft steel trace, it works quite well on a game rod I use
  25. I can admit that I owned a Pride 4.45 as well, only took it outside once (the seas flat off Botany Bay) and I never would do it again, the sides are too low, water came over the back into the well and it bounced around like a top. Mine was a 80s hull with a 1998 Evinrude 60 on the back, it also need the SE300 Hydrofoil to lift the heavy thing out of the water. I got rid of it in 2016
