  1. Out of curiosity what’s your go to colour jig that you’ve been using, I’m assuming it’s 1.8g cheers
  2. Great footage & insight into how they grab the jig👍
  3. Gotta love day 4’s dedication, good luck on the final day, hopefully the boat scores a stonker Cobia 🤞🤞
  4. That is one hell of an awesome 😎 fishing session with some great fish, well done guys, can’t wait to see what the rest of your weeks adventure turns up
  5. Nice feed under trying conditions of weather & pressure 👍 well done
  6. Some great tips & suggestions I’ll definitely be trying out a few, I mentioned to my other half that we should invest in a vacuum sealer & she reminded me of one we bought a couple of years back from Aldi, doh do’h!!! definitely give that a go, hope it still works
  7. Another top report & photos, not only have you dialed in on the cod your on fire, thanks for another fine read
  8. That’s a great tip on lure change over nothing worse than having to re tie a knot on the water in cold conditions, the only thing I might do different is add an extra meter to the trace so as not to spook the fish but as we know it makes netting fish trickier especially solo, thanks for the tip
  9. Great report & photos again of your Jyndabine escapades Gordo. Sounds like you had a good few days in some trying conditions, the ski gear definitely makes fishing a bit more cumbersome but so cosy at the same time, at least trout don’t fight aggressively but can be tough to get into the net at times, re your assist hooks I’ve found using “gamakatsu single lure hook” in size 1 on a split ring (sometimes two opposing each other) with 1 or no bead gives a solid hook up & if getting hits but no hookups adding up to 2 beads between lure & split ring making a big difference, they’re an inline hook, thanks again for sharing your Jyndabine trip
  10. I’m wondering if anyone has any good techniques for fresh squid or baitfish to freeze, I generally put them into a ziplock bag & carefully lower it into a tub of water to expel 99% of the air (making sure no water gets in) before sealing & putting into freezer, any better ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, cheers Dieter
  11. A few years back I googled iPhone waterproof cases & came across a bulky orange floating case which might suit someone on this post, I don’t know if it’s still available though, ended up getting a life proof as it suited my needs better
  12. That’s an accident waiting to happen, they should have done a better job of getting rid of it
  13. @Blackfish, @Welster, @jenno64,Always good when you get an opportunity to go fishing before work and catch a few, definitely makes the day better Not paradise or gods country but pretty close 😎
  14. Nice report & photo , nothing better than going for a quick session & getting plenty of bites and coming away with a good feed

Thank you all for the comments, some of which are quite funny & cheeky 😂 Didn’t smell fishy to me Not that I had a good sniff 😀 I know what you mean I’ve been married for a long time, I think that’s why I’ve got arthritis or RSI in both hands 😂 ha ha Thanks Frank hope to see you before the P.S get together 👍 Will do & looking forward to the weekend, I put them into a ziplock bag & try to get all the air out & freeze, is there a better way? Life’s to short might as well have some fun along the way 😀

  25. That sounds like a good fishy spot for reds, there’s a similar spot just south of longy that a mate used to regularly get 6 to 8kg reds in summer, the boys at ottos used to call him the snapper whisperer
