  1. Wow another great haul, was Tyrone’s shark a mako by any chance, shame about the stonkers that dusted the two of you but sounds like you guys had a great day anyway 👍
  2. Wow what a fantastic day the 3 of you had, 2 great snapper & a nice spangly to, never thought I’d hear the day where you & Woodsy would be complaining from being sore from catching to many snapper 😂 sounds like the fish where as hungry as you, what an awesome session 👍
  3. Great report & video, when the pelagics are on there’s nothing better than tossing some metals at them, I once had a great session on 2 to 3 kg salmon on bream gear & ended up after 40 odd fish in 2 hours almost killing a 2500 shimano sienna, those gillies metals are great I’ve caught everything on them including yakkas & even a just legal snapper once
  4. Thanks mate they went down a treat, I haven’t been out in the boat since but I’m sure you would be doing alright on the venison front if you’re getting out there, those colours look good, red one early & late afternoon get them down near the bottom & go slow & mix it up a little, good luck
  5. Good report & nice chunky snapper, bet your arms where sore after all that casting, what colour did you get him on
  6. That’s a stonker of a brown would’ve been a good tussle 👍
  7. If you’re looking for a reasonably reliable wind forecast go to bom. Gov & look for marine wind they have daily forecast over a few days & in few hourly increments, it shows the NSW coast & if you tap the square it zooms in around Sydney & the C. Coast, it’s also great for boaters
  8. Good report & photo, sounds like the bronzie was a good tussle to finish off the day, they are supposedly not to bad on the plate at that size
  9. Great report & feed, always nice to be out there on a calm winters day, bummer about the roller should be easily found on the net, if not maybe the local boat chandler Witwor or trailer manufacturers
  10. Love the quotes you come up with scratchie, a little birdie told me that they are getting them down at port Kembla, so looking forward to “hearing the news “
  11. Usually flour (with salt, pepper & other spices), egg, Panko crumbs & fried, I’ve tried a few other ways but it’s what the rest of the family prefers I’ll have to give that ago, sounds great Devoured last night & tasted great even the tentacles I reckon they are the best part, soft with a beautiful crunch, maybe next time I’ll keep a few heads & guts for bait (Snapper, Kingy & Jew candy)
  12. Don’t know the spot but maybe try using afloat rig to get the baits up off the bottom away from the PJ’s
  13. Got out at 7:30 to my local rock ledge yesterday morning first cast & was on & thought I was going to have a great session but ended up with 3 takes & 2 squid just shy of 30cm hood length for 3 1/2hours, decided to have another crack this morning arriving around 8am (should’ve been there at dawn for both sessions) first cast & on again, this time 4 squid from 4 hits There aren’t many around but they are a good eating size, should be a couple of tasty meals in those half dozen 😃
  14. I landed an 18cm bream once that was lassoed around the eye sockets & under the chin with the barb facing away from it. Once while fishing the drop over at lake Mac I had a 15min fight on bream gear, we both thought it was a good flattie early in the fight & then called it for a large shovel nose as it dived left & right & even under the boat with a lot of weight, with my mate hanging over the side with the landing net up comes a prawn net full of mud that I had hooked just in front of the fork of the net
  15. Just had a look at sea temps the cooler water is just south of the hacking & there’s a cold finger coming out of the hawksbury so hopefully you do alright🤞love your optimism, good luck cheers Dieter
  16. Considering you had to move around a bit, that’s a great bag of fish & a nice pearly 👍 & always a bonus to have a glassed out bar😃
  17. Great arvo session, I haven’t seen or caught an elbow slapper for a while, nice fish & they taste so good yum 😋
  18. Well done Woodsy, good to here you’re back on the water, nice sunrise shot & haul of fish for a half day of raging current 👍 wow 3 months between flicks must’ve been torture especially with scratchies tantalising fish, by the way it was good to chat & meet with you & the other fishos, & thanks for the heads up about the barcrusher Facebook page cheers Dieter
  19. Great session & fish in tough conditions , good effort, bummer being shy by 70mm😎
  20. Great report with a good mixed bag of fun👍
  21. Shame you didn’t have a spare rod, you could have had your hands full😂, re the milk we also noticed it still had a snap to it, the kiwi fruit definitely works
  22. Nice report & feed at least you didn’t come home empty handed, from memory I think around this time of year I caught a few blue spots in 25 to 35m of water just south of the two reefs
  23. Sounds like you had a really pleasant morning session with the Rugrats and a nice breakfast even if you didn’t catch much it’s always good to be out on the water especially this time of year
  24. Well done, good on you & your mate for being out there before sun up, nice EP’s
