  7. Hi raiders, we fished the classic & took out the bigest flathead award. The weight was 3.65 kg gilled & gutted, measured 80cm. It was a miserable weekend as far as the weather was concerned. We caught in excess of 50 fish including whiting, flounder, banjo rays, etc. The big lizard was taken on a live yakka,'yellow tail'' Regards Jeff
  8. The 2 boys fished the colo this afternoon for 15 bass from 15cm to 28cm. all caught on bright coloured lures. They didn't take any pic's as I was having trouble downloading onto this site. All that has now been solved thanks to framedtrash's help. From now on I can put pic's up on post. Regards Jeff

  11. Hi Raiders, is there anyone that can shine a lignt on what I'm doing wrong? When downloading a picture it goes through the motions but no picture appears in the post? Any help would be appreaciated. Regards Jeff
  12. Hey Stewey I'm not that much older than you! I fish with guy's ages from their 20's up & most of them call live bait,' bung'! I guess it depends on where you fished when you were a kid & where your fishing buddies fished. Mine was in sydney harbour & surrounds as I was a founding member of Eastern Suburbs Anglers Club & every fish'o refered to live yaka's, mullet, sardines etc as BUNG! Regards Jeff
  13. Hi Raiders, Woke up this morning to this view from my veranda. You could have put money on it as we were putting the boat in this afternoon to chase live bung for the start of classsic tonight. I think I will leave it until tomorrow 3am to launch & chase some livie's in the colo instead. Good luck to all who fish this week end. Regards Jeff Sorry every one but having trouble loading the picture, "Live Bung" is what we call live bait sorry must be showing my age as thats what we all called them in the 60's & 70's Regards Jeff
  14. Tried that tonight,& it was one of the easiest receipes to cook that actually turned out great. Regards Jeff
  15. Hi Laurie, just seen you posted the comp, no reply's like my post. May be we are the only fish raiders fishing in this comp. Where are you putting in? How many classic's have you fished?( I've fished about the last 10) Alway's a great comp & a great day for charity at the weigh in. If you see me on the river give me a hoy & may be have a coldy. If you don't see me on the river may be I'll see you at the weigh in. Good luck Regards Jeff
  16. Half your luck Adam. Regards Jeff
  17. If you decide to do it then use silaflex not silicon as the silaflex has some give in it. Regard Jeff
  18. I agree sounds like a typical noah run, but I have seen big rays pick up head south without as a look over their wing. Regards Jeff
  19. I've seen a few characters that look like that fishing from the rocks, next time I'll call out RAY& see if its you. Regards Jeff
  20. Sounds like a fuel problem mate. Do a carby kit on it & make sure you havn't got any air leaks in the lines. Regards Jeff
  21. Big carp, just look at the size of those paddles! It's no wonder our native fish are having such a hard time with those bruts maurading around our rivers & estauries. Keep catching them & dispatch them to where they came from."hell" Regards Jeff
  22. Hey Josh congrats on HSC mate hope you did well The bait school may have been pilchards as there was a report of them this week. Regards Jeff
  23. Hi sunnyboy1, I've looked at the pass however we take it in turns with tow vehicles & as the pass is for one stipulated vehicle we would have to purchase 4. This is the only ramp that we would have to use it at, as we mainly fish the Hawkesbury. Regards Jeff
  24. Hi Raiders, Anyone fishing the Hawkesbury classic this weekend? We will be out on Friday night untill Sunday morning if you see us give me a wave or have a chat. I will be in my trailcraft with the name Day's Fish'n on the sides. Good luck to any one who is fishing the comp. It would be great if a raider could take it out. My son won the junior section a few years ago but since then we havn't come close. Regards Jeff
