  2. Spent a few hours on Botany Bay today with the two daughters mainly to get more hours up on the new boat Trolled a couple of spots for some tailor and then went over to Towra flats for a spin wasn't expecting much there until I spotted some trevally on the edges of sand patches out came the 3lb flouro outfit rigged with a bondi brown shinku(small sinking stick minnow)and I started casting in front of where the trevs were moving Sure enough they moved to the lure and picked it up off the bottom Caught a couple using this method and then they went off the bite and I couldn't find anymore 12 year olds first attempt at netting a fish

  9. Deep micro jigging requires the correct rod for it It was explained to me that the action of the rod working the jigs is extremely important to the jigs working something to do with tip recovery getting the action out of the jig
  10. Try a google search on microjigs There are different brands available here
  11. Yes and yes also work slow rolling
  12. A new method of jigging is now coming to OZ called micro jigging Looks like that's what you are doing piratin
  13. My new boat Quintrex renegade 420 SC 50hp 4st yammie Minn kota ipilot Lowrance elite 7 sounder
  14. Its a tough decision and I agree with Stewy to a point but it really depends on what your line of work is and what is available in your line of work out there you may be better off taking the transfer so you have a wage coming in You have to do your research Like Stewy I will be out of a job at the end of the month as all our work has been transferred to Melbourne and I took the redundancy option over the transfer as it was better for me after 25yrs with the one company
  15. Should also look at the new berkely UV blades when they come out
  16. Blades and vibes are not the same Blades are usually metal and sometimes polycarbonate with a slim profile and vibes are plastic like a HB with internal rattles such as cranka vibes or bassday kangoku vibes The TT switchblade in golden boy is also an outstanding lure and you can add luderick to the list as well Ive caught a few on the vx35 in colour 445 Too many to be an incidental catch Another is the ecogear zx blades they work extremely well on shallower flats
  17. Yes they are worth it My favorites are ecogear vx 40 in colours 439 and 445 and the strikepro cyber vibe 35 in 1460B and A18 Other options are sinking stickbaits like berkelys subdogs
  18. Bet there were some bream boats on there today prefishing for a tournie tomorrow
  19. I only just watched the video and Nick is a good mate of mine We have fished together a few times No idea where it is though but it will be south somewhere
  20. Damn I forgot about that Werent you supposed to ring me
  21. If you are casting and winding it back in like spinning with a lure head first but if drifting it down a burley trail then the tail should be facing up the line
  22. Sps preferably but downsize them and work them slow 2in crabbies 65 and 80mm wrigglers basicly SPs that will work at a slow jig Blades as well but also work them slowly and also sinking stick minnows instead of blades like the berkely subdog in baitfish colours
  23. Im too good looking to need bling Donna
  24. With the ci4 1000 I would get a raider lure project minnow Its a bit lighter same length as the soft plastic raider and balances better with the 1000 I have this outfit and use it for SPs and HBs
  25. I would go the raider but up the ci4 to a 2500
