  1. What type of boat is it? I have had the live bait tank overfilling and the water swooshing over the top between the tank and hull. I also had a brand new live bait tank pump that was spraying water out of the casing under the floor. They replaced it under warranty. Any fitting in between could be leaking too. Bungs not sealing properly. Odds on it will be something minor.
  2. It is a good thing that’s for sure. I haven’t used the app for a while and found it a bit clunky. But I had heard the bugs are fixed.
  3. Nice bag of flatties from Fishing paradise well done. If the marine rescue app isn’t cooperating couldn’t you just call on the radio?
  4. What areas do you fish in?
  5. Some good fishing to be had in the bay some days are quiet though. Burley up for Trevally, bream, Squire at times particularly after rough weather outside. Outside it’s snapper and flatty time. Also a good time of year to target squid inside and out. There’s some beautiful sunny days to be had with light westerlies that time of year.
  6. I have started using this in 20lb and pretty happy so far.
  7. A marlin on a Mado is good going. Have you tried trimming the fins on yakkas for John Dory?
  8. We caught a huge cuttle fish on a live one once.
  9. Thanks Wazza very interesting write up.
  10. Like in the attached link. Jason https://youtu.be/kCkAM_VX6ws
  11. I would love a copy too and will cover your costs if you could make an extra copy.
  12. That’s the dropper I use but generally the twisted version
  13. I have 2 alloy holders at home if you are interested in buying them off me. I was going to use it in place of the plastic ones for the downrigger spot but it didn’t quite cover the paint marks of the plastic one. I ended up making an aluminium rod holder to mount underneath the gunnel with the original plastic one fitting in like a sleave. I will dig up photos if you like. With the alloy ones I’d be fitting with sikka flex and large alloy rivets. If I was to use stainless screws I would make sure no part of the stainless touches the alloy. The same thing if I used stainless rod holders no stainless would touch alloy anywhere.
  14. Looking at the weather forecast I probably just be sitting in the boat in the shed this weekend
  15. I wasn’t complaining. I was just letting Mrs Swordy know what I was seeing as I had at various other stages in the past. I assumed what I was seeing on my platform might be different to what they knew or expected me to see.
  16. I think you will find lots of different opinions in this. I fish from a boat and nearly always have the fight drag set unless it’s heavy gear in a iffy rod holder.
  17. I have a few fat ginger days too
  18. Oops I didn’t realise this had already been said. Maybe I shouldn’t reply whilst I am half asleep.
  19. You could have a look in the GPS Marks section. Here is a link. http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/forum/54-gps-marks/
  20. Captain spanner is right. I know the rule live bait pumps have an optional second outlet do that only the one hole is required through the transom. I think the deck wash outlet isn’t fed by the pump so it needs a second pump connected for deck wash pressure. The valve system you mention could be used if you just want some water to rinse things without much pressure.
  21. Isn’t he the guy that has the record for most species.
  22. The bar doesn’t seem very high there. The record is 53 cm (fork length I guess). FR record is 54
