Pickles
After a pretty good session a few weeks back (no kings so plan B for Flatties), I took one of my students from school and his dad to catch flatties off sydney last Wednesday. We brained them landing over 40 fish, many just on legal that went back and only keeping those around to 40cm mark and got a few around the 50 cm. All caught on stops of fresh Yakkas and slimy mackerel. One rig a paternoster with two no 2 live bait mustud hooks. The other rigs were no 2 BKK light (Fluor coated) live bait hooks with running ball sinker. I used the secret weapon and wiped banana peel over each bait (not joking) - dispels that superstitious myth. Also managed a few nice snapper in the 40-45 range on the way back in to the ramp. Goingout for a master class on trolling Flatties with Fishraider Emil to learn how to use lures on Flatties - new for me. 10

big Neil
A good result for a plan B eh? Still hoping to get to Sydney in the not too distant future (once Covid ceases to be an issue). In the meantime I'll try to keep up with all the success that other anglers are having. Cheers, bn
