First time out with the new “Fishraider stickers” (many thanks Donna), what a way to christen them - a rat attack north of the harbour.

Master fisho Jenson (9)  and his dad Adrian (soon to be Raiders) hadn’t been out for about a month, so we decided to leave early, beat the heat and get on the bait grounds early and hopefully get a bag of Kingies.

God was good and boated 35 kingfish, 6 big Trevally, 5 blue spot Flatties and a swag of mackerel (didn’t count them, but at least 20).

it was a hot day on all fronts

the sounder shows a “rat attack” on Lowrance HDS9”

@pickles...

your sounder output below... what are those big clumps on the bottom or near the bottom. I assume the yellow is the bottom... is it weeds ?

have seen something similar when i been out and wasn't really sure what to make of it

The Blue clumps are dispersed baitfish, if there is red in the blue it is denser baitfish and if arches with blue, small kings, blue with red is solid kings. The blue “clutter on the surface” is burley and froth - it was windy and choppy
