Pickles
Getting so keen to get out on the water, I launched the boat in the side paddock and went fishing for silver perch I put in the dam last year. Caught 10 fish in 11 casts. 10
Yowie
That is a good effort from the dam. Will keep you in practice for a while. Do you eat them or release them to grow bigger?
Pickles
Only ever catch and release - bread for bait, but they also take 1-11/2” white curly tail grubs (Big Neil gave me some of these to try. They are deadly - from strike Tiger in Tasmania, they also make a 1 1/2” tabby in motor oil colour - fantastic on bream)

I cracked up laughing at the photo of the boat in the dam. Can't keep a good man down, not for long anyway. I reckon those Strike Tiger nymphs will be ideal for bait fishing too (yakkas, slimies, etc). Can't wait to get the all clear for travel again. Haven't been fishing for ages. Still laughing at the photo! Neil
Little_Flatty
I love this! Good to see you have a fishing option right at home! You'll need to vary your techniques to keep things interesting. Maybe pull out an old 1kg outfit and pretend they are kingies!
LuckyFil
If the lockdown goes much longer you’ll be fishing in the bathtub 😀

dlvbw
Haha Haha. That is awesome Bob. Having seen the dam I can assure all the Raiders out there that you don't need a boat. Too funny.

Centrepin
I reckon you had work to do on the trailer.
Pickles
You picked it Centerpin - taking advantage of not being able to get out to rewire the trailer and put new reversing flood lights for backing in early mornings.
Pickles
Gordo - Ineed to ask you for advice on snapper mate - I only catch them off the side of the reef drop offs early morning before the Kingies start mooching around. Although as the squid and cuttlies are dying at present, I reckon flicking a sluggo of squid strips at the floating dead cephalopods would be the way to go.
