It's a real gem hey? I am pretty pissed off at the moment, a friend of my daughters came over yesterday afternoon for a visit, then told us she tested positive a couple of days ago! But, it's OK she said, you don't have to isolate now.......I thought, maybe not, but doesn't common sense tell you to not be stupid?
That’s very irresponsible of them mate.Sadly you can’t fix stupid and I hope you guys don’t get it.I was suppose to drive everyone to the brother in-laws place in Maitland today for Xmas and won’t be leaving the house now until this dreaded thing goes away.

To all raiders and their families and friends we wish you a happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
This site is a wealth of information and a wonderful community. This is due to the input of every member who posts, sends “likes” and other reactions and generally encourages all anglers.
Thanks to Deckee for keeping us afloat.A very big thanks to our moderators @Scratchie Jeff, @dirvin21 Dave, @Rah Tara and @Little_Flatty Mike who give their time to help me with keeping our space a happy and safe community. Special shout-out to @Blackfish who does a great job on ID of fish for members.
Hope everyone catches lots of fish and enjoys the holiday break.
Wishing the Fishraider team the same and all its members also.Stay safe everyone, enjoy every moment you can with friends and family as you never know when it will be the last time you see them. All I ask for Xmas is if anyone sees @Yowieout and about can you please throw a stick of dynamite in his boat on my behalf.😂😂

Cool .... So still on the peg board... and not pegged at your head ! 🤣
Cheers Z
peg board? Do people still use that rubbish?i’ve always hated that stuff. We all know real men always leave their hammer on the bench somewhere where it can easily fall onto your tootsies when looking for it.If I have my shed nice and tidy I can’t find anything but if there’s 💩 everywhere I know exactly where everything is.😂😂It’s tidy at the moment and that reminds me where’s my 10mm socket?

You look like Darth Vader on a bad day. What a crack up of a post Fab. Good that your wife and you have a relationship where there's a lot of give and take otherwise you could have had the hammer impacting your skull and divorce papers served for dinner. Still laughing...have a great Christmas you guys. bn
We always have a great time and a laugh at each other’s expense mate.Often I’m the one getting pranked and her having the laugh.
Life’s too short to be serious and miserable mate.
Hope your Xmas is a great one too mate.

I’m still wondering where she placed the hammer Fab? But I think I can guess 🤣
cheers Z
It’s still hanging up as she didn’t follow my instructions word for word did she.
The plan was I only wanted a coke as I had a hammer already and told her get the hammer to keep her in the stench zone that bit longer.
She went to get the coke first and didn’t make it past opening the door about an inch and running out empty handed. No hammer, no coke.
I told her to go back in and get them but it didn’t go down to well as I suspected..😂😂

I asked the mrs to go get me a hammer out the shed and grab me a coke out of my bait fridge/freezer while she’s in there.
😂😂😂😂She came out of that she’d like a dazed cockroach in its last legs in a mighty hurry.😂😂
I conveniently forgot to mention to her that when I was in there last over a week ago I accidentally turned off the fridge power point instead of the radio.😂😂
The look on her face and the mouthful she gave me was priceless! For everything else there’s Mastercard.😂😂
I felt bad for laughing at her I really did..For about a split second as she does things to me too.Last one she did was sneak into the shower and turn off the tap.She turned off the cold one instead of hot one didn’t she.😂😂

Heard nothing from you for a while. Thought you must be in hibernation due to the cold weather. 🤣
I’ve been getting intelligence on you.Had my spies out.Oh, that reminds me…I should be out bright and early on Thursday around 11:30am and if you have managed to get out of bed this early and see me about come on over and say hello and I’ll put 300kg or lead in your boat.A good place would be around lilli pilli as I have a depth sounder and know it’s deep there.
I don’t want the bow of your boat sticking out the water causing a accident to another boater.😂

Good work as usual mate.I’m waiting for suitable weather on my days off to get out and catch 0.I’m not missing out on anything.😂😂
-
Stop whinging about how cold it is.@Yowieknows I’m always warm in bed and only get out in appropriate weather to catch his fish.
I must admit my arms have had a rest lately not having to haul all those massive fish over the side of the boat.
My names billy not silly.😂😂

Easy to catch fish. Just wake up about 3am in summer, have a sleep-in in winter at 5am, and the fish will be jumping onto your hooks or lures. 😂
Where do I leave my boat and fishing gear at your place?Im giving the game away as that ain’t happening.

You need a gaff to land that!
I’d have to ask @yowie to gaff it mate as it would escape from me.

Where we hit them, if the tide is low, there is rocks in front for about 50m, and they are all about 2' diameter and kind of roundish, when you duff a shot (almost every time) the ball hits the rocks and can bounce anywhere, sometimes straight up, further than it was hit in the first place, or off at right angles, bouncing like crazy around the rocks.
I can imagine mate. They take off like a rocket. They bounce off cart paths and the like too.I hit a drive about 15 yrs ago that bounced off the cart path and knocked a Koala out of a tree.Raced over to see if it was alright to find it was other than being a bit dazed.I thought it was a branch from the T when my son said it’s a Koala!!!

Holy hell, I would cry to if I was hitting those in the water, I pay max 50c a ball, but usually get them cheaper or free.
I wouldn’t hit them or lose them very often but when I did I’d have a moments silence.I’m currently a bit rusty and play with balls around the $30-$50 mark a dozen(Not the same) but I don’t waste the minute of silence when I do whack one into the water. You can spend a fortune playing golf or play it quite cheaply.

Great post for this time of year Noel.
Your Christmas party sounds very much like mine used to be, when my wife was alive. Everybody came to us and we had tons of hot food and cold drinks. We played games and the usual people cheated in the usual way, but we all knew what was going on. We laughed about it, made sure the grandkids were spoiled and were knackered at days end.
Great times and great memories. But that's all they are now. My wife passed away 2.5 years back and the Christmases since have been vastly different. The family is no longer, and everyone is busy making their mark for their own families. Fair enough, that's the way the cookie crumbles. The days of yesteryear are gone and cannot be re-incarnated.
The point I would like to make is this... enjoy every moment of what you have today, for tomorrow is NOT guaranteed.
We live very fortunate lives, here in Australia... enjoy it while you can.
Cheers and Merry Christmas to all the Fishraiders and their families.
bn
Time waits for non of us mate.I lost my dad in 95, sister in 2002 and brother in 2014.Since 95 xmases have never been the same.

Yeah it is good fun, I have an old ABU 2500C that we use and a small bean sinker, picking out the birds nests is not much fun though! but I have mono on it, so it's not too bad.
Any chance I can come around this Xmas but you pull out a spinning outfit to teach me how to catch that bloody @Yowie’s fish?I promise to help clean up.😂😂

Nah, I buy cheap ones, or get given old ones by golfing mates, we go across the road and hit them into the ocean. None of us are golfers, so most can be found at low tide, but, now and then, it all comes together and one just goes way out. I am pretty useless, and usually just dong them on the top and drive the tee into the ground, but it's great fun. Cash Converters usually have a plastic shopping bag of mixed balls for $10.
I was going to say. This is what you pay for a dozen good eggs these days mate.
Everything is a rort in oz mate..
My Xmas present.
