    Dremel

I have a Dremel that I purchased back in the 90's thats still working. About 8yrs ago I had to replace the small silicon tube coupler between the motor and the drive shaft as it perished due to age... thats the only thing thats gone wrong with it. Given the age and in anticipation of the Dremel dying at some stage, I impulse bought an Ozito rotary tool (with kit) about 4yrs ago at the B***ngs store ... it has sat on the shelf unused (now past its 3yr warranty) waiting for the Dremel to die ... mind you it was on special for $15 with the kit included so hard to walk past. These rotary tools are invaluable. The cutting discs you mention Antony - they'r great for fine cutting of metals - bolts in tight spaces etc. However the most used tool ends for me have been the carbide cutters / an router tips. Great for plunge cutting or reshaping holes to fit switches and accessories. In hindsight, the only thing I'd now evaluate is whether the 18V cordless models are up to scratch to replace the corded ones. Cordless is just so much more handy working on the boat - buffer, multi tool, soldering iron, hot air gun, drill , impact driver etc etc all cordless for me now. Cheers Zoran PS - what are you making ?
  2. I guess there must be a different definition that's applied to the Rivercats 🤔 because under that different definition there is no way that the short sharp wash they produce "is likely to cause damage to the foreshore or vessels, or injury or annoyance to people". ... all us boaties trying to launch or retrieve at the ramp, or tied to the jetty must be delusional to think the Rivercat wash would ever damage our craft, let alone annoy us !!! Cheers Zoran
  3. Top job. Love it when it goes to plan and you are done and dusted in a few drifts 👍 cheers Zoran
  4. Top effort Sam. You’ve worked out Bellambi for sure. cheers Zoran
  5. Sorry @PaddyT, not sure why either ... I quoted @XD351 ... it somehow included that he had quoted you... maybe its my fat fingers on the iphone screen. Cheers Zoran
  6. Once a year and takes 5 min a jacket to do - too easy ! The 4 Marlin jackets I had previously required to be inflated and left inflated for 24hrs then checked for leaks. So not a 5min job in my experience. It may have been specific to that model jacket but I recall marlin website saying the same for their products. cheers Zoran
  7. I’m back to the foam as well. cheers Zoran
  8. Smile says it all ... congratulations and Merry Christmas ! Cheers Zoran
  9. Great catch mate ... a tasty feed indeed. Back to basics can be so much fun - and more relaxing - there is a lot less cleanup and washdown afterwards for sure. +1 re inspectors. Cheers Zoran

    Bate Bay

Well done Yowie .... very nice feed there. Just imagine how much better the day would have been with a few SPs on the hooks ... eh ? 🤣😁🤣 Cheers Zoran
  12. Awesome fish Jeff. Can only dream of landing such a beauty .... but one day, just maybe !!! Cheers Zoran
  13. I have a haines 635 (that used to have a 225) .... and I have always had to dunk my axles and wheel hubs. Whether I drive on or use the cordless drill electric or hand wind .... were you using a steep ramp?? The trailer has been going strong since 2001... I have changed the original brake rotors and hubs just two weeks ago. Still run original springs. Bearings are changed around the 5yr mark - whether they're noisy or not. I run bearing buddies and keep them correctly loaded with grease. Wash the trailer down with lots of fresh water after each salt dunking. Spray the disc rotors, hubs with WD40. Spray the springs with RP7 or similar. Cheers Zoran Original post re cordless electric -

  17. Not this time mate. We couldn’t see anything on the sounder so didn’t bother breaking out the knife jigs. cheers Zoran
  18. Dieter must be catching up on work - think he jigged a day judging by the amount of messages he was getting on his phone on the water. Yup we did try live bait - its in the last few min of the video - no takers at 15m, 30m, 80m and bottom. Tried SPs and metal slices as well. No dollies to be seen on this day unlike the Thursday I had a few weeks back with Wayno on board. Cheers Zoran
  19. Thanks Sam ! Maybe we'll finally get that tag team session offshore! Cheers Zoran
  20. Ok everyone, I've changed my mind, when I catch my YFT, I'm inviting @kingie chaser to come share it and teach me to cook it (hopefully he will be on the boat at time of capture too) ! Cheers Zoran

  22. Actually BAZ hats off mate.... what an awesome way to say it anyway ... by quoting Sam !! 🤣 Cheers Zoran
  23. Top stuff Wazza! I know there’s been a lot going on that has kept you occupied. Glad you are back on the water. cheers Zoran
  24. Champion report from two Champion raiders ! ... so happy for you guys to pull the rabbit out of the hat ! I think just one correction to that post ... don't think its a YF Tuna.... given scratchie caught it, its gotta be a YF Snapper ! Congrats ... the smiles say it all. Cheers Zoran
