    Thanks, that looks a lot better than a few weeks ago. Hopefully will be even better in a weeks time, will stick to Cowan, Pittwater and the mouth I think.

    Hi, Just wondering if the Hawkesbury River, down from the road bridge has cleaned up yet. The last time I went up there a few weeks ago it was filthy brown and logs everywhere?

    I had similar boat issues with my Haines with a Mercury on it, took it to the local mechanic and they said it was to do with the hydraulic steering, there was a lot of air bubbles in it. They drained it and put new fluid in and all was good after that.

    Appartently in NZ they target Gurnard because they are great to eat.

    Hi Jenno64,

     

    Just wandering if you can tell me what is the best poddy trap you are using. I have tried a few but without much success. I saw those one for $135 but I don't want to spend that much on a trap. Thnaks.

    Is there any specific way you can target gummies. I thought (except for Melbourne) they are a bit hit and miss or just bicatch.

    I think both areas are good but it just depends on when you are there, I feel that they swim between the two. They have been caught at Smiths but not great numbers. When I was younger we used to go out from Akuna Bay and go east and that was the best spot then, my mate caught the NSW junior record from that area (that was a while ago now). I do not hear of many if any reports coming from that area now but I am sure that they would be there and it is close to a boat ramp.

    Hi, Just a heads up. My mate in Sydney told me the fishing club he is in are organising one for the weekend of 30 June, 1 & 2 July. Maybe one to avoid. Not sure how many boats or if they have already hired anyway as yet.

    Hi ace, Do you know what was the length of the largest one. Maybe this year there will be more bigger ones around. They have been a bit lacking over the last couple of years.
