    @Larkin I remember watching a DVD on NZ Snapper fishing and the use of a Bonito head split down the middle was the go to bait for big Snapper for that reason

    Xmas tree lures from the bargain bin and fit with single hook doesn't matter if they get chewed up

    @Undertow Hi and welcome to Fishraider 🙂 Try looking the area up on Google and then go to satellite image this will show any structure and weed patches or run off creeks to target then its just a matter of burley and tide to entice them if they are around I like using frozen prawn heads in an old onion bag for burley

    @big Neil can you advise how you rig the line when fishing in timber like that with bait is it a paternoster with breakaway sinker looks like a great day and some nice fish caught

    We used to fish of the rock near the surf club years ago unweighted ganged pillies for Tailor and try to tempt the Kings as they swam past it was fun wading out there when the tide was a touch high 😄

    depends who you like and what feels the best to you they both come up pretty close

    Is it just me or is the bow sitting high causing it to not sit on the middle rollers can you get a side on pic of how the boat sits on the trailer

    I would be looking at replacing the short end roller with a piece of Polyurethane rod machined (or hacksawed) to length and drilled for the shaft otherwise a cut down roller From the residual left overs on the shaft it looks like they had a metal sleeve inside the roller
