  1. I have a 13ft tinny, 25hp 2 stroke with 25ltr tank. I usually get 4 or 5 trips (4 to 5 hours mostly on my own!) out of it scooting around in botany bay from spot to spot then drift fish mostly & occasionally anchoring. If its a concern carry 10ltr plastic jerry can with you if you think you will be out for a long time or going somewhere over night. Imo if would be hard to consume a whole 22ltrs in 1 day around the harbour. Trail & error, run it, look at the tank gauge & see how much you have used!
  2. No one here can answer your question. Find out your consumption rate at full throttle & then you will get ypur max distance.
  3. So not top water but shallow water!! Not taking anything away from your catch but 2 different thing imo
  4. What do you mean or define by 'top water'? Catching large flathead in 'shallow' water is no new thing & which is what I see in he vid. Catching flathead on surface on 5, 10,15,20 meters of water well that's another story!
  5. I guess its one of those things where fish take on the colour of their surroundings to keep the camo/ambush thing happening. Pretty cool really! That's one of the darkest flatties Ive ever seen. I'll be sounding for that whole next time im out there on the Hacking 😁 Probably next trip, haven't been on the hacking for over 12 months & bit over Botany at the moment so need a change of scenery
  6. Nice bag mate, what SP's did the damage? I cant tell from that image.
  7. Suicide hooks is what I usually use for that rig. The exception would be to use a straight hook(long shank) for a whiting rig but for general the suicide does the job similarly to a circle.
  8. Very nice feed. Reminds me of being down at my mums place at St. Georges basin during school holidays chasing the little tasty things then making prawn omelettes 😁
  9. I want to go through that pain, even if its just the once
  10. Most manual inflating level 150 vests are not very bulky at all & are not very expensive. Then again you could go the other way & get a manual inflated full jacket which you could remove the sleaves if desired, more exxy though but what is your life worth
  11. That's why I don't rock fish! I'll stick to the boat or the beach.
  12. Good on you Joe 👍 Biggest thing is do not rush it & don't take 1 single thing on the net/YouTube as fact but let it be in part of forming your knowledge base. The more you look into it the cream of info will rise to the top.
  13. Don't know where hill 60 is but well done. I don't rock fish so all I can say is don't become a statistic for a fish!
  14. Or a plumber Have a go Joe! Learn something mate, take on a challenge! If I haven't taught myself something new by the end of each week I think the week has been just an 'ordinary week' Mate I am a chef, I love to DIY because I just love to challenge myself & further my knowledge. I have done so many things for myself that at one time I thought I need a pro to do this for me but put in the time / hard yards & did it myself, its very rewarding when you know you have accomplished something but yes you can make mistakes...……………...that's life! One day I want to build myself a house & many other things. Its not impossible right 😁
  15. As miillx says Its not a hard job but if your not confident then take it to a marine service centre or similar.
  16. Or just wear a jacket 🙄 Is it such an inconvenience or just te fact that your being told you have to? I go outn boats where I am not required to wear a jacket but I do so because I choose to & a see so many examples of where people lose their lives at sea because they weren't wearing one when it counted.
  17. Very nice BW=? Budgewoi??
  18. Plenty of charter here like there are is in the rest of the world. Just depends on what you want to target. Bay/estuary cheaper, going Marlin fishing to the shelf costs! They are all on the www..... Have a nice stay 😁 The Hawkesbury boat hire thing is a good experience, but for 2 people is pretty exy/ Sometimes you cant have your cake & eat it to. That's life as a tourist, which we are also in within our own countries!!
  19. What is the issue you have had with airbnb in the past?
  20. Not really sure what it is your asking? Suggested locations? Looking for member with a house that meets criteria? Maybe try Airbnb 😉
  21. Good to hear BB is starting to fire up or at least you hit the right spot on the day 😊
