Although the Port Stephens snapper catch up wasn’t a success, it obviously bred relationships that would otherwise not have happened. Great to see fishraiders getting together and having a good time! Great size reds! Perfect for the table. I’m over the attack of the rats though!! Lost a good 1m plus king the other week, devastated. I have no trouble landing the rats though. Sounds like a good day! cheers scratchie!!!

G’day raiders, Well today was one of those special days. I got a text from the very first fishraider I ever took out fishing 8 year’s ago @Spearer1. Since that initial fish we haven’t caught up but have messaged each other etc on various platforms. Anyway, today we finally managed to get out after Adam messages me and said he was keen to get amongst some snapper. So today was a bit different as I worked early and we didn’t leave until midday. Conditions looked good but the curse of the full moon hung over our head. Well, we well and truly put pave to that myth. Every area we fish we hit up on a good fish. Might not have landed them all, ay Adam (dropped 2 screamers rookie error) but we just kept finding them with some real decent ones amongst the lot. It was just awesome to catch up with Adam again and we had as much fun today as we did the first time we met! I’m sure we’ll be back out there to do it again soon! Great work Baz! If you were half as good at fishing as you are singing/songwriting you’d be brilliant. Lol 😝 Mate, I lived in the blue Mtns during the 1994 bush fires and watched my community burn around us. It’s a terrifying sight and one of shear anarchy! My heart goes out to all those who have been affected by these fires. A great tribute there, well done 👍 cheers scratchie!!!

Compared with our north compatriots we all work bloody hard for our fish down here. Just makes the rewards that much better! Couldn’t agree more champion. We all got a decent fish and to see your brother get rewarded for his efforts was mission accomplished ✅

Generally, the big dogs don’t bite the lure, they inhale it. Once you get that initial take, set the hook hard and hopefully it lands in the corner of the jaw. It’s where most big snapper are won or lost! The tight drag is so you can turn it’s head whilst fishing in shallow water! 👍

Hey Jeremy, nice work there champ! At least your finding them. Sometimes that happens (wearing leader) the only thing I can suggest is to set the hook as hard as you can. On a big fish I may even set it 3 times. Didn’t see you up there??? Fair bit of swell on the eastern side of the island. How long you up for? cheers scratchie!!!
