  1. Great stuff Albert! Well deserved fish and great to see Raiders help each other out to get a great result!
  2. Great report Mike! Always good to take a travel rod and even better to get a few new species! That little GT would have gone hard:)
  3. Cracking Bass! They are on my bucket list for sure!!
  4. Great session Bob! Plenty of Dolly fillets and a cracking flatty! Nailed it again!
  5. Nice bag Yowie! I took my son out this arvo for a fish and we collected some poddies to troll slowly around some deep spots for not much joy. Highlight was a 25cm Soapy on a nipper! Wind up next couple of days so you did well!
  6. Had a long day on the water again yesterday but a bit slow on the return fish wise. Lost a few fish early on and then just as the tide started running hard back in at 3pm I landed a nice smaller jew that went 68cm, very fat and quickly released. Took one flatty about 50 home for a feed. Next outing will be with my son in the Hacking on Thursday....good conditions by the looks, fingers crossed!
  7. Thanks Rebel, Mrs Jenno always finds a fish! Thanks Dave, I've avoided the Hacking as it has been very busy and I know the Georges pretty well so it's often a safer bet for me! Thanks Neil, All I had eaten since 7am was a coffee and a hot cross bun! The picnic was devoured just after Mrs Jenno landed her fish!
  8. Great mixed bag Kobi! You must have been following Yowie, the king of the Hacking Seafood platter! Keep it up! New moon this week should bring good tides 🙏🏻
  9. That looks like fun and I bet it's addictive. Nice work!
  10. I waited out the windy week and planned to get back out there on Saturday to hunt another jew and some flatties. Collected some behemoth poddies on Friday afternoon ready for the next morning and sat back to watch the footy (Go Sharkies!). Launched into the Georges by 7am and headed out into the bay to drop a livie at one of my drop-off spots. Had a good hit and weight on for 15 seconds then the bait and hook was spat. Headed up river to drop 2 lines down on the run out drift and had a short screaming run on one line that came up empty then watch the other rod buckle over 10 seconds late. Up came my second jew for the week measuring at 93cm. A few happy snaps and back it went. I was ready with my phone for a release video but I was swimming the fish by the tail and one tail thump against the boat and it was gone! Pretty stoked with a good fish by 8am I tried a few more drifts then moved around a bit trolling poddies and dragging vibes and hard bodies. I waited for the tide to turn and headed back to where I landed the jew. On the same drift I had a thump on my second last bait and up came a solid flatty. It slipped through a large hole in the net so I had to lean over and lip grip it and bring the rod, net and fish over in one swing. Took a few picks one the lie detector @74cm then released the big girl. Got a call from Mrs Jenno about midday and invited her out to spend an hour or 2 as the conditions were still pretty calm. She jumped on board with a very welcome picnic basket to share:) I had one last bait so we headed back to the spot and dropped it down and I handed Mrs J a rod with a small soft vibe and told her to teabag it as we drifted along. 10 seconds late she was on and up came another good flatty. Mrs Jenno insisted she was taking this one home to eat and it was a PB so I obliged and dispatched it @ 65cm. Spent the next hour cruising right up to the end of the Wonny then back to the ramp a tad tired. Big day out but well worth the long hours:)
  11. Thanks Bob, The cuts and bruises will heal but the memory of a good fish lasts:)
  12. Most of the time I release them but occasionally I’ll freeze dead ones for a cut bait.
  13. I used to have 2 paternoster rigs on my kayak in rod holders and hold one rod with a jig straight through. Quite effective when fishing steady depth of 5m or more. Had a few triple hook ups when they are on!
  14. Great stuff Derek! that many top water fish is a fabulous session, no wonder your mate was quiet!
  15. Great post and a good spread of lures doing the damage! 3lb would be heart stopping on a fish over 50 or 60!
  16. That’s a birthday to remember!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
  17. Great job Kobi! The next 2 weeks will be full of PBS by the looks of that catch!
  18. Yep, rookie error….I’m usually careful and take my things off but today brought me undone! Didn’t feel any pain bringing the Jew in! Yep, the bleeding probably helped in the long run, I only had my balaclava to keep pressure on and I kept rinsing my hand so it’s all good now. Thanks! Cuts are ok but my shoulder and arm are beaten up today! Thanks Larkin! I keep a fix it kit in the boat but my wife is making me a first aid kit now too!🤪
  19. Nice work Kantong! Thats a good bag of trumpeter whiting, I’ve only ever caught one or two, happy filleting!
  20. Haven't been out much in the last couple of weeks but glad to be on hols for the next fortnight:) Collected some poddies yesterday arvo ready for a trip up the Georges today. Wind was blowing south west ....... not agreeing with the forecast! Started the day with a slip and fall on the boat ramp...thongs and low tide don't mix and ended up chopping up my fingers on oysters which bled for 2-3 hrs! Out on the water and things were slow and I dropped livies at a few of my spots without any joy. As the tide started rolling in I picked up a nice salmon and a couple of flatties all released. Went back to one of my deeper spots mid tide and had a good take and the rod had some weight but the bait was dropped and came up crushed. Same mangled livie went out the back and off screams the line. I used my electric to motor out of structure and up came a nice jew after a few minutes. Got it on board and took a few snaps then thought I still have a few cutlets from my last good fish so off he/she went back to play again some other time. Called it a day when the southerly hit.
  21. Great stuff Isaac! trolling and casting giving you some wins!!
  22. What session! they must have been schooled up….what bait did the damage and what depth🤷🏻‍♂️
  23. At least you got a Good Friday feed Yowie! Winds are up for a couple of days so it will be tough going on the water over Easter. What bait and rig do you use for the reds in the deep🤷🏻‍♂️if you don’t mind sharing🙏🏻
  24. Cracking bag Chris and good to see them dispatched into ice…..they look ready for the fish markets 🤪 enjoy the Easter fillets!
  25. Great trip Yellowfin! plenty of fillets and nice sized flatties too. Whiting too🤷🏻‍♂️
