  1. Well done @bluefinsome really nice lizards - nothing better than flattie fillets
  2. Brilliant effort @JayC Fisho, you had a cracker of a session, well done. I always keep my squid for bait, but if you keep the heads and guts (2 best parts for bait) you can always eat the cape.
  3. Shot out for a “fast and early” session with @Hads and broke the record in my new Tinnie - 45 Bass landed in about 2 hours. Tried red as well as yellow, black and purple Feralcatt lures today and all were working. Adrians (@Hads) first session on Bass - he’s hooked. All fat, healthy fish and stuffed with prawns and Christmas beetles 🪲 And we’re back in time to watch South Africa get hammered by the bowling of Starc and Boland
  4. Be great Dave. I’m heading up on the 4th - 11th and staying at Arakoon - I’ll pm you.
  5. Hey Donna, are there any more Fishraider stickers available. I’ve got a new boat (4.3m Tinnie) and would love to put one on each side?
  6. Blessings to all the Raider family and a special thankyou to Donna, Stewy, moderators and Deckee. My your Christ mas be safe and full of good cheer and remember that 70% of the earths surface is water and only 30% land, so God obviously intended we spend triple the amount of time fishing, than tending the lawn and doing it with family and friends is a blessing indeed.
  7. Hey @HawkesburyParadise, brilliant pic - put it up for auction on Fish Raider - you might be able to retire on the proceeds. (Van Gough couldn’t sell a single painting in his lifetime, died a pauper and only after he died he became famous)
  8. Great to get feedback @slothparade - Thanks for sharing - I’m heading up there for a week in February so hope things pickup before then. Were you land based only? Drifting along the wall is usually very productive for flathead, bream no Moses bream and often a Jewie. A really great spot to spend time and the best gelato ice cream in Australia.
  9. Well done @JayC Fisho, iso rig is a lot of fun - use it on Yakkas when really tentative and on the surface.
  10. Nice healthy fish @Calais_loco, it’s great our waterways are firing after the “Big Wet”, makes you wonder where the fish hide. Last few trips I’ve been catching the odd flattie with Bass in the fresh also and good size (40-45cm).
  11. Great feedback Chris - thanks. I haven’t caught a green eye for about 2 months now, but there have been plenty of arrows in the Harbour lately.
  12. Well done @Bennyg78, Salmon give a great account of themselves - love to watch them jump when hooked. Great report - did you get to go fishing in WA?
  13. Great work @Neptune273 - it might be a while before you do that again😁 (I pretty regularly get flathead whilst Bass fishing in freshwater). Congratulations to you
  14. Another great day on the Dyarubbin ( Hawkesbury / Colo rivers) targeting Bass. Two of my church brothers Steve and Phil (Steve a Koori cousin) wanted to go fishing “up the river”. What a morning we had, boating 41 Bass before 9.15am ( in my new rig, a little Stacer Outlaw - 4.3m with 40hp 4 stroke and Minkota, live bait tank - a great little boat, just at the right place at the right time to pick this up and only 2 yrs old). Cheers to Wazza’s generosity making me some SP “banana lures”.
  15. A magnanimous thankyou to Waza - a Fishraider legend. What a selfless and generous bloke he is. Attached is a pic to testify to the efficiency of his work (and put to bed the superstition that “bananas are bad luck”). Smashed the bass today - again. The shirt was also a gift - thanks Bruce.
  16. I’m sure we’ll get a chance Neil.
  17. Derek is “The Man” - looking forward to your next report @Mr.Wang
  18. 30 miners well spent @kantong, some cracker Flatties 🙂
  19. Great feed Dave, we’ll done mate.
  20. A good day indeed, we’ll done @Renegade460, thanks for sharing.
  21. Buddy Steve was keen to try some bass fishing and “twisted my arm” to hit the Colo/ Hawkesbury. After the horrendous wind and tempest on Monday, I was a little dubious, but with a high pressure after a crashing low the day before and high tide at sunup - I was pretty confident we’d do OK … and the Bass came out to play (as well as two nice Flatties - in fresh water, but I usually get one or two down at the mouth of the Colo). We really brained them and Steve is now a convert - we boated 33 Bass (and 2 Flatties) by 8.30 am and had the boat and gear cleaned up and home before 10am.
  22. Yet to have this happen, but mutton birds offshore are also a nuisance when they hang around
  23. Looking good for the future of the species with so many juveniles around. Always fun to catch a Jewie, no matter what the size.
  24. Fish for ham - a great swap. (Proverbs 11:25 “A a generous man will prosper and he who waters, will himself be watered” - keep it up 👏)
