  1. Good stuff Scratchie! The bream look nice and silvery. Might have been fun to throw out a slug and catch some of those menace tailor (or a shiny sinker with a hook on the end).
  2. Good stuff Ian, esp on catching 10 on the one SP! I tend to lose a few to snags each time but at least they don't get destroyed often by the chompers or fatigued due to fighting fish. I've seen pictures of the three new Z-man colours and they don't seem intrinsically different to say bloodworm, motoroil or watermelon red so I'm hoping they will be just as good if not better.
  3. Anything that sinks and can be worked slowly. The fish will be deeper and more lethargic.
  4. Good stuff, especially on the dory.
  5. ^ You took the words straight outta my mouth Stan! I get the same feelign when I think of those parasitic worms that can exist inside the human eyeball and wherever you look, you can see them wriggle in your eye...
  6. Good stuff man! That pic with the jew with you smiling says it all!
  7. You should probably ask the Port Stevens local guru - Scratchie. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.
  8. I really enjoyed both your reports Jani! Looks like you guys were in the right time for the 'hot bite'. It is a satisfying feeling to get fish on different types of lures. Keep up the good work!
  9. Good stuff, looks like you boys had fun.
  10. Good stuff for taking him out. May you receive the same treatment when you are his age.
  11. Good stuff Tom, sounds like a very productive sesh for bream.
  12. Yep, flathead is a great starting point. I'd say they will be the first fish to find your lure even if jewfishing. They don't really have a preference for lure shape, size or colour or retrieve which are things that can be a problem with jew (and also bream) so long as you keep in contact with the bottom (most important). Due to these things, larger and heavier lures can be used which makes flicking much simplier as you can feel your lure just that much better. They are also found pretty much anywhere in the waterway in shallow or deep.
  13. That's a nice croc! How big was she? Gotta be careful up there, I hear they eat small children
  14. What fish are you targeting and the types of lures and jigheads that you are using? Should be plenty of landbased spots around that general area. I'm sure most of them produce.
