    Sorry to hear about the rod and reel Neil but great photos again mate. I looked at some of my old photos of back in the day fishing the Edward and Wakool and thought of your photos Neil. Good times they were.

    Yes Neil up at Port now but unpacking and organising takes time so no fishing at the moment but it’s a bloody nice place so it won’t be long till I’m looking around for a fish. Sorry to hear about your health and I hope you have a speedy recovery mate. I do remember you saying you were coming up this way and I was hoping to catch up so it seems like it will be another time now, all good as I’m not going no where 😀. All the best mate and look after yourself.

    I remember “ How Green Was My Cactus” Neil and it was very clever. I must be old as I don’t remember great shows like that coming up these days. I won’t go any further on funny radio shows as not to hijack this thread.

    Great Trout there Regicycle in a really nice looking area. Redfin look good as well. The small fish I think is a Gudgeon and maybe a Flathead Gudgeon. Well that’s my guess anyway.

    I can see what you mean @frankS but I believe the Black Banded have more of a shorter blunter snout and I can just see the Gold band running length ways which is not as prominent on the Black Banded. But always happy to be corrected.

    Had the same last Tuesday off there but in a bit deeper water. They must be still around. Good stuff.

    There is a Boat ramp at Silverwater just across the river. Nowwwwwwwwwww I'm not saying they should close Melrose Park ramp which they should think of some sort of a compromise. But they should think of the Boating community ...... as they vote.

    The fish certainly look like Cobia, those stripes on the side are quite prominent and I'm not sure if any sharks have that type of stripe. This video has Cobia swimming on the surface starting at 8.27. Hope this helps.
