Certainly unusual, but not sure if any have been recorded south of Sydney. I know of one observed in Lane Cove river. Also the Fin spines are poisonous, so be careful of the critters.

I agree there Fab but a lot of those people know how to play the Victim and you end in more trouble than them which is more frustrating.

I did see that clip and they certainly moved it. I recon it's like stopping the tide from coming in, it doesn't matter what you do you cant stop it. Just report it if you can and leave it up to the Authorities. Rose Bay boat ramp have designated Car and Trailer spots for the weekend and the council patrols it which some may say it Revenue Raising but if they didn't patrol you would never get a spot for you car and trailer ...... ever.

There seems to be quite a few Flounder out there at the moment which is certainly a welcome catch.

Sounds like she's doing some hard yards there Jon. Does she have a plan for the next step. A lady I worked with up in the Kimberleys, her son was one of the youngest to get a Masters 5 and ended up driving one of the big Kimberley boats.

Bottom 2 are Silver Sweep or just called "Sweep". Maybe check on the fish before taking them as to what they are, they could be poisonous or a protected fish which may land you in big trouble, Sweep are OK and not protected or poisonous.

Bahaaaaaa. Many years ago my wife and I used to drive up the coast (Before kids) and camp in National parks. Gee we found some great spots with good fishing. One time it was just after lot of rain and the small creek that I fished had just closed back up and the Flathead were all stacked up in a small area before going back up into the Lake. Lost count of the Flathead I caught on lures, all released. This came to an abrupt after I got careless and a fish drove the treble into my finger. We were a fair way from anywhere, so a bit of camp surgery and got it out. Bahhhaaa. Not long after that I started to crush all my barbs down on my lures, which I still do today.
