Dave, while it is harder this time of the year you might have to look at what your using for the lures & the size of line you are using? What species are you targeting? If your fishing for the bread & butter species like bream, flathead, whiting, snapper etc then your fishing a bit heavy imo, also it could be worth changing over to fluro for your leader material . If your fishing around rocks then sure up your leader BUT heavier leader usually results in less hook ups. What about bait a back up? I mostly use SP's & lures but hey if your not catching fish then I throw in a bait. Also use the forum search tab, some good info might just be at your finger tips, even though some of these are older it just gives you an idea what/where/when & how-

Id be looking for reviews with people that are actually using the product in real life situations. Sometimes they may be in a XXXX reel vs YYYYY reel video on youtube not just on the product you are looking at. Yeh its a bit hard to determine how smooth the drag is from someone lounge room no matter how convincing they are

Seeing them is one thing, catching them is another 🤪 I would also like to 2nd all that from 61 crusher & thank the guys who took the time to commit to the trip even knowing it was forecast to be very average & the people who made the effort to come along to the greetings even thought they weren't fishing just to meet the fellow raiders Also I'd like to say a big thanks to Scratchie, I only had to speak to you for 5 minutes & could see how large your passion was for fishing & this site & wanting to establish a comradery with & between the members. 61 crusher, thanks again for giving me a chance as a random & a spot of your fine vessel, I can only dream of owning something like that myself & it was a great experience being out there & seeing how well it performed in the chop plus I really enjoyed the chats & appreciate all the tips you passed onto me as well.
