  1. I have been watching a fair bit of the the swimming & how amazing has Emma McKeon done, what an inspiring young women she is. The female team has outdone the bloke no doubt! And not to forget Logan Martin, 1st ever freestyle BMX & it goes to Australia I can remember doing some stupid things back in the day on my old BMX with the tuff wheels but those guys are pulling some serious manoeuvres A shame we didnt do as good in the female surfing in Sally but what a great result for Owen. Many more medal to mention & to come. Proud to be an Aussie, & its fantastic to see our representatives doing so well even in these tough times back here in Aus. No matter the results you have all done us proud Go Rohan Browning
  2. Been hearing how many transport/logistics companies employees are testing positive because they either dont have a covid safe plan or are not sticking to it, apparently 25 cases came out of just 1 company. This thing is so transmissible that it just take 1 to make it happen in a work place..................................................................................and I think people forget this all actually started from 1 limo driver! I got sent home from work with the rest of the workplace because we had workers that came form every corner of Sydney, just to dangerous. Thank fully this time around I am still getting paid..............but not sure how long for? I think there are $44,000 fines for businesses that remain open that arent essential/critical, I guess thats a very subjective subject.
  3. These places are where probably 90% of all transmissions, close & casual contact situations are arising here in Sydney & the probably the biggest issue is contact tracing is usually 2 days behind in notifying you or the business that you have been to one, there have been about 10+ bunnings stores where someone with covid has been & so many supermarkets. I look on the NSW health covid case location page everyday & any time I think I need to just go to the supermarket as you just dont know where you could get caught up in an outbreak or possibly have to isolate..................... even more than usual πŸ™„ https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/case-locations-and-alerts.aspx I went to see my 94 year old dad in the nursing home the day after the Bondi outbreak started as I had a feeling the shit was going to hit the fan & for some unknown reason he was in the homes church with a lot of other residents so I left without seeing him, now I have missed the opportunity to see him for who knows how long but in the back of your mind you just hope that I will see him again. Then I find out while all the residents have all been vaccinated only 30% of the staff were not 🀬 And its in the Bankstown LGA! Its hard enough worrying about how secure your job is but yeh you feel pretty helpless. Then you see those halfwits protesting & putting everyone in danger & quite probably extending the lockdown, makes your blood boil They are going to find it hard to bring the numbers down I feel unless people just dont go out unless they absolutely have to πŸ˜’ As for vaccination, I've had mine, I was hesitant as I had a bad reaction to the flu vaccine but my industry has been hit so hard by this I know the only way out is for at least 70% of the community to get the jab. Top 10 case locations, no order or names included- Supermarkets Chemists Bakery/cafe's/restaurants Petrol stations Hardware's Post office Bottle shops Shopping centre's Bank's Public transport
  4. Those rods better not be rigged otherwise fisheries will need a second ticket book πŸ™„ 😁
  5. If you attempt to fix it & something does not go to plan or that is not the issue then you have void the warranty so I'd be inclined to send it to shimano for the warranty diagnosis & repair. I have previously looked up the schematic for the part number & rung shimano directly & got them to send me the part I needed. In saying that I knew the exact part I needed to fix the issue.
  6. Absolutely, we all have to look forward to something out of all this covid madness!
  7. No probs RRM, your right in saying its often ignored by Aussies, like lits of different fish/seafood I guess the more utilized Cephalopods here would be squid. Agree there are some good easily obtainable spice mixes & sauces around now which makes it quick to add flavour to dishes if you choose to. Generally speaking in a lot of cases I think less is more when it comes to seafood but as they say, variety is the spice of life!
  8. Nice work guys πŸ‘ Doing something like that looks like a pipe dream to many of us at the moment..................but someone's got to do it
  9. Hopefully Sydney wont be in lockdown by the time it gets to summer! But the way its going it might very well be 😭
  10. That's just for leaving Sydney & traveling more than 10km outside there LGA. Then they got fined $1000 for fishing in a sanctuary. Expensive life lesson but if the on the spot fine is all they got then they were lucky! Penalties for breaching public health orders Breach of orders made under the Public Health Act 2010 is a criminal offence and attracts heavy penalties. In the case of an individual, the maximum penalty is $11,000, or imprisonment for 6 months, or both and a further $5500 penalty may apply for each day the offence continues. The NSW Police may also issue on-the-spot fines to individuals of $1,000 for breach of a public health order $200 for failure to comply with a direction to wear a mask.
  11. Head gasket failure would be my guess.
  12. It is very hard BN, last time I went through this the after affects to my industry were no work for 10 months! Poor tradies whining about 2 week, they've got no idea! These are the same types that drive down the breakdown lane at the freeway when the traffic is stopped or zoom down the left lane stop at the lights in the left turn only lane then take off straight ahead to get in front of you & the rest of traffic traffic! They think the are the only people in the world, certainly the most important & special & rules dont apply to them 🀬 And apart form disrespecting those staying home doing the right thing, then to throw things at & assault police.................. I will always say we have the right to peaceful protest..............but in a Delta spawned lockdown its just idiocy! Throw the book at them!!!! No respect!!! Maggots!!
  13. I heard the Irish wanted to introduce 2 new sports but the IOC couldn't find another country that was playing heading the shot put or javelin catching..........................................πŸ₯΄.....................................πŸ˜‚
  14. Your correct Dave but Its changing every day! Some orders are for people not to move out of their LGA, others are a 10km radius but then again that to me would mean don't cross into an LGA that has localized restriction. Keep looking at the NSW health website for updates. Just stay home unless you absolutely have to go out. Practice tying your knots, make some new skutes, do some servicing........whatever keeps you busy. Follow the rules people! Problem solved.
  15. Think your a bit under gunned in your idea personally At minimum I'd be looking at a 4-8kg rod, 20lb braid(up the leader size as required), 4000 reel. Just my 2c
  16. Mate you dont have to be getting your arms pulled out of their sockets all the time to be having a great time on the water πŸ˜† The pup is very cute, but I hope you remembered to take some of those little black bags & some gloves πŸ•πŸ’©..............πŸ˜‚ You got some great B&B fish there 7 a decent feed. You rig looks great to, ans so does the Yak πŸ˜‰
  17. Thanks D, yeh I have a heap of nice food shots as I used to do most of the pictures for our food tastings at work. This is just food I did at home. The last one was a dessert I did for xmas lunch for the family a couple of years ago. Its a pimped out eton mess, they all loved it Wouldn't it be nice to arrange a forum get together in sydney, bbq by the sea, wet a line as well, maybe next year I used to really enjoy mucking around with photography & seeing what effect I could make, car racing, sports shots in general, depth of field shots etc. You might spur me on to get all my photo's out of the garage & go through them all, there's not much else to do at the moment 😏
  18. Changes the format to JPG from TIF on the landscape one Oh how could I forget about food πŸ™„πŸ™„ Taken with Samsung A70
  19. Nice subject @DerekD, you could probably double the subject topics. Probably 90% of my better photo's are on 35mm negs & on actual photo paper(if anyone remembers what that is) I know you can get some great gadgets now to transfer them into a digital format but life is to short to start going through a few thousand images to pull out the good ones. The digital age has made photography life so much easier & so much cheaper I can remember at times taking a few rolls x 36 images on the old Pentax SLR, working hard on lighting, composition etc, waiting in excitement to get them back & after spending $40 on developing the images, go through them & maybe only being really happy with 2 or 3 images πŸ™„. Now we just snap away on the motor drive without a thought of cost, look at them instantly on the display, get rid of the ones that didnt work & do it all over again. And what you can do with a program like photoshop surpasses anything you could dream of doing in the dark room! Anyway, I still remember being so excited to get my 1st digi camera, a Olympus C-5050, nice little non slr camera(dont think SLR's were available yet?), nice F1.8 lens that excelled with macro pictures, think it cost me $1200 which was a bit of money in those days I remember a 256mb memory card cost me $256 back then, thats how much things have changes, now you can get 36GB card for about $20 😲 Anyway are some images from that camera Reflections Panorama's(stitched) Landscapes Cant add this one, maybe because its in TIF format? Action Macro Silhouette
  20. Maybe get a trailer for it 1st πŸ˜‚ Sorry BH, 1st thing that came to mind. I did a few to mine, flooring makes a big different for a good casting platform, if doing it just remember the pivot is accentuated the closer you move to the edge & its easy to throw someone overboard when moving about if they are standing, good communication needed!! I made my floor removable, it you make it permanent you'll need to install a bilge pump! I would like to have full side rails for better rod holder, and a proper swivel seat. The seat is easy enough but need a welder for the side rails. The only other thing I would like to do is to put a door on the bow storage area which is 2 levels to stop stuff flying out when the ride gets bumpy. There is only so much you can do really, you could make some rod storage on the side like I have seen on one of @frankSboats he did. On the larger motor suggestion, if considering just make sure your transom is rated to what you get!
  21. That would be great Zoran. I'll show you how to smoke a lizard......or how a lizard smokes up..........😁
  22. Well you know at any time you can always pick my brain on anything food mate πŸ™‚ Having the thermometer in there was a great idea for the internal temp, not many people would think of that! The smoke is one thing, the food temp is another. Smokey fish & just cooked is what you want. The whole dish looks a winner to me
  23. Hi Neil, I think this while this is a simple good will message it could also be turned into a larger debate as it has everywhere around the country. Yes everybody take care BUT everybody needs to also take responsibility for their own action & keep the greater community safe. Being from Sydney there have been way to many people taking advantage of the rules, visiting places they dont really need to, trying to carry on like life is normal.............when its not! We all watch the news, if your in an area thats in lockdown adhere to the health advice rules. I've had both my shots now but if we want life to go back to normal 60-70% of the population will need to be vaccinated. What is there currently, 12 million people in lockdown?? There has to be a way out of this, the country & the world cannot continue like this forever, or even for months. Stay at home unless its absolutely necessary!! If you have to go out, follow the rules, dont go out if you have symptoms, mask up, physical distance.
  24. Red Emperor Ocean trout Blue eye John Dory Flounder Whiting At the end of the day comes down to how well you can cook them............or not cook them Lots of other QLD reef species I haven't tried yet but look forward to. Edit: Oops, have to add YF/SBF Tuna. @puddlejumper you should have said top 10 .....................or 20
