  1. Thank you b.n. Fished the Hacking for ? years 😂, so know a couple of spots. A good fishing environment (nearly time for the holiday makers to go back to work and leave the fish for me ) There is a 0 and a 7 in my age: maybe not in that order. 🤣
  2. Yes, had a feed of fillets tonight, wedges, veges, washed down with a glass or 3 of riesling.
  3. Thanks Fab. Happy with the catch.
  4. Thank you, plenty there once filleted.
  5. Headed out to Maianbar flats this morning, a little later than normal. Many boats buzzing about. Pumped some nippers and waded about for a while. The fish not as abundant as last time, and a few stingrays taking the nippers as well. Quite a few eagle rays were also cruising the shallows. When the tide rose too high, headed towards the ballast heap for a drift. Picked up the largest whiting, and a dusky at 21cm, the smallest I can remember hooking. Headed home after a while.
  6. No deep water fishing for a few weeks, trying tomorrow with nippers.
  7. Nice fish for all the effort. As others have suggested, mud marlin sometimes do the "tailor like" surface attacks.
  8. Correct, they look nice. 😋 Good work Issac, good sized prawns.
  9. Nice fish and crabs in the photo, looks like a couple of marbled flatties there.
  10. Some nice fish in the photos, the kids look happy. As for outside on a rough or bouncy day, the kids may have trouble standing up/bounce around/suffer an injury/feel sick. Just try it on a rather calm day for a while. Also, the wave that rolls through bigger than the others and is not seen until too late.
  11. Maybe. Your chosen chairs look good, and a good price.
  12. As Restyle stated, they are good chairs, but you wanted a fishing chair - does that mean you will catch fish while sitting in the chair?
  13. Very fancy meal there Rob. A good sized swimmer. For those that do not know, the smaller nipper is growing back to normal size. Crabs have nippers knocked off due to fighting other crabs, escaping predators, and they can cast off a nipper at will. A new nipper then grows back to normal size.
  14. After heavy rain head to near the entrance on the run-up, clearer water. On lighter line, I have the drag set light. I use one finger to apply extra pressure to the spool on the pump and wind, however, if a larger fish takes a big run, ease off the pressure with that finger until the fish slows down, then pump and wind again with finger pressure on the spool.
  15. A great feed there, nice bag of muddies to top it off.
  16. Nice catch of flatties, worth getting the tips from Derek.
  17. A nice outing, new species, and can eat a mullet or 2 if you want to. Mullet do go hard on a light line.
  18. A nice bag there Basil. A few better sized whiting, and nice flatties.
  19. Happy to find a few, towards Kurnell. I have pulled up an odd gummy at times - one day we pulled 3 but all released. Might keep a smaller one next time. Thanks Basil. Thanks Mike. 2 fish meals. Not a lot of sport from the deep water, however, good on the plate.
  20. b.n. looks like a dump of rain heading your way today.
  21. Hello Hank, have not heard of any reports from you for a while now. Yes, I would like those maps, thank you very much. I will give you a call during the week. Dave.
  22. Nice bag of fish Rob. A good flattie, some nice whiting and a trev. Always good to see a larger flattie swim off - that one was slower than some others, a few I have released took off like a rocket. Back in the water to terrorise some little fish, though it would probably try and eat your smallest whiting. 😋
  23. Up around Barraba and surrounding towns, the kids use chicken flavoured hot chips. A few to eat and a few for bait. It works for the cod.
  24. Sound like you had some fun over the last month. Snaggy looking river spots, great country locations there b.n.

    Might be moving
