  1. Hey @Scratchie I searched through the boat ramp section and couldn’t find anything on the little beach ramp. Can you you let us know what’s it like and is there plenty of parking?
  2. Just what I was thinking.
  3. Great feed there mate. When I lip hook a massive flattie like that I often wonder why the big sister doesn’t devour it for the trade up.
  4. Great report. What’s that ugly thing at the bottom? Maybe another record there!
  5. You made the right choice heading out on a day like today.
  6. I have he stacer 5.7 now rider and it’s a great all round boat. I imagine the Formosa is probably better in some respects. For straight out fishing Outside I’d rather some more protection as Rick suggests. Also the bow rider is more like a runabout with a low seating position. On the open water I’d prefer to stand and let my legs do the work but that is chilly underway in winter. The Bimini when fitted is also below standing height so it’s a bit of an awkward lean to stand in the gap between it and the screen.
  7. Great report. I have never heard anyone using a paternosta rig for blackfish. It’s on the list to have a shot at blackfishing at some stage.
  8. I can’t help but am interested to hear any thoughts also.
  9. Sorry mate I didn’t realise you had already said Botany Bay.
  10. Nice. Where were you fishing?
  11. Count me in. At this stage it’s not a definite but I’m pretty confident.
  12. Your report was a great read and a magnificent looking fish there well done.
  13. When I first got a boat we had a livey out under a float and it was the frozen nipper that got the 75cm king. I don’t think I’d target them that way though.
  14. What type of gang do you use? Traditional gang, gang with swivel join or snell. A few years ago on a snelled gar with the tube as you suggest I had some success.
  15. One thing about a float rig for me its always the one that get hit by some toothy critter that is a few seconds of fun before a bite off. I’m guessing either big tailor or small sharks. It happened to me so much over a few trips I was considering using wire.
  16. What s pleasurable session you had.
  17. What a great report. Most of those fish would go back on my boat but your mate has done a great job. I would keep the Trevally as I quite like them if they are t over cooked ( but I’m no chef) and the mowie to give to @Yowie
  18. Nice catch and video. Looks like a super calm day.
  19. I have only ever caught one last year I think in 140m of water. I don’t think there is a FR record for them though.
  20. Wow just wow! That’s a great Hacking catch
  21. It’s pretty hard to have a few yakkas swimming around without causing grief. Depends how many people are on the boat a bit and the conditions. Free swimming I’d only have one livey at a time. Or say one a few metres under a float and one reasonably heavy weighted under the boat a few metres off the bottom. Depending on the conditions you should be able to feed some lightly weighted pillies out into the berley trail as well.
  22. Nice to see a blackfish report. I have seen s few guys catching blackfish on the area with weed sources locally.
