  1. There’s plenty around at the moment & as you said roed & milt, what poundage leader & hook size are you using as there’s been some big ones amongst them last weekend watched a couple of locals at it & one of the guys let me use his setup while cleaning the catch I managed 3 at 36 38 & a 44, haven’t targeted them since a young block, ended up buying myself a 10ft6 Wilson blackfish rod today interesting that your using a two hook setup off the stones
  2. Thanks for the detailed structure outline & informative post regarding reef fishing techniques which I’m sure will help many a fishraider myself included 👍

  6. Welcome & well done on a good sized salmon on the 12lb gear. I think we chatted briefly about bleeding your mates fish (using scissors) School of small rats & hood lost on pilly last week, 21/2 weeks ago a rat & getting smoked by the same guy fishing the bottom & also heard of a school of salmon recently being harassed by some big ones

  15. Great report & photos, looks like you guys had ideal conditions, One of the guys from Freddys went wide of Norah canyons Saturday just gone & picked up a couple inside the canyons in about 400f or m not sure, so depending on when you got yours they might still be around Freshly caught & on a griddle 👍
  16. From town centre near the “man from snowy river” statue, around the clay pits, east Jyndabine, also the road heading past the gadden hatchery plenty of bays & points to explore, even around the mouth of the rivers. Might be worthwhile having a few tassies as well
  17. Likewise, the last time I saw you was a Friday predawn almost a month ago at the ramp as I was heading to work they’re a bit like holdens or fords on the water 🤣... I’ll pop over & say gday if I see you out there
  18. Got to love how you & some well respected fishos come up with some great theories & then they end up being excuses, yet it all makes sense. Seems to have been generally lean along most of the coast with a few fishy periods throughout this winter Good on you for getting out with so many raiders & sharing Great read 👍
  19. When I do get out I usually head north dependant on the wind & fish from about 20 to 70m & ride the N easterly back in
  20. Looked like a very effective release clip made from simple products & a bit of ingenuity 👍

  24. Regarding grass these are a good compromise, allows grass to keep growing & can be mowed while nodules give a good flat surface for wheels to roll & doesn’t damage the lawn
