  1. Great title & super right up of our very enjoyable day on the water, loved the sped up bit in the vid just shows how busy we were even though the fish weren’t cooperating Even though I was dead tired from the previous long days at work to be able jump onboard good old Barrycudda I thoroughly enjoyed the day out with you & Bob, thanks again Zoran 👍👍
  2. Another great read Waza & highlighting how a quick buck & “Pelicans”(politicians) can create havoc to the the environment. I believe one of most pristine places in Australia has major issues occurring in the bays & rivers where the Atlantic salmon are being farmed Hope you recover soon, must admit mate some days I feel like one of those old blokes,
  3. Bonito probably wouldn't be great raw, kingfish is though. If you brain spike then bleed out & put straight on ice it is quite nice as is trevally
  4. Great boat & good advice above generally sinkers in 4,6,8,10 & 12oz will cover most situations for varying currents & wind main thing is to stay in contact with the bottom every now & then letting more line out will help Weather wise what you’ve described & re swell the wider apart it is the more comfortable you’ll be (eg 14 seconds & no wind or cross seas can even be comfortable up to 2m+ as it becomes an undulating ride as long as there’s stable conditions forecast Re fuel a good rule is 1/3 to run out & moving around, 1/3 back & 1/3 for safety backup (50m is approximately 8 km offshore
  5. Hi @Berrero as Frank said nice rego, by the way those mud guards are about $45 each to keep you street legal & you might need a set of these to help guide you in to protect the guards hope you don’t mind @Zoran to good an opportunity to take advantage of the photo
  6. Good to hear you had a quality one on one getaway with scratchie junior who looks totally over the moon with his upgrade, cracker jewie 👍 Great read, fish & photos as usual Jeff😎 P.S any chance of getting you onboard if I need some Mack’s for bait 😂🤣
  7. Good report & photos, even better to hear your fishing buddy is doing well & joined you in a great session
  8. Great to hear the ramp got a good gurney it would be awesome if all ramps where done regularly for the safety of all When I saw Tuesday’s seabreeze report you came straight to mind Zoran. Good to hear the two of you got out for a great bag of plump flatties, the plastics look like they were working well. Lady Luck triumphs again Good report & photos 👍
  9. Well done on the jewie Bob & nice upgrade. I’m sure the man upstairs was on your side considering the lousy weather & the conundrum you were in 👍
  10. I bet they do, mind you a salt water Barra burger goes down a treat to wouldn’t mind trying one, one day 🤞hopefully
  11. That’s an awesome short session that the two of you had Jeff great to hear your mate picked up a Spanish Mackerel 😎, bet that went down a treat & that is they hang around for a while longer 🤞
  12. Great Barra, write up & photos I’ll go no.5 because of the dirty water as that bomber would stand out nicely in those conditions, depth can be varied by speed, height of rod tip & length of line fed out. Mind you no.2 has some good battle scars & would also suit conditions
  13. Totally agree with you Waza Up here on C Coast particularly the Avoca platform the life jackets are now worn by most of the non locals I feel it’s not the only solution as to many of them are wearing improper clothing (tracksuit pants & heavy jackets),improper footwear or turning there back to the sea while standing to close to the edge, even using short rods (less than 6 foot) Understanding the inherent dangers & being appropriately dressed for fishing the ocean rocks & knowing when it is to risky to wet a line will definitely help towards less fatalities
  14. As with beach’s rock fishing spots vary greatly depending on prevailing conditions & topography Maybe the more used & dangerous spots could have as a guideline what conditions (swell direction, tide, height of waves etc) could create hazardous & unsafe fishing conditions
  15. I could run my boat for 10 yrs for the price you paid for fuel that day.😂 Imagine the boat you could buy & still have enough left for fuel to see your fishing days out For the price of one 600hp $70,000 😱
  16. Thanks Zoran for bringing this to our attention This could be more detrimental than the previous attempt at the lockout zones for fishos & all who enjoy the coastal lifestyle I will be passing this on to everyone I know & have already sent 2 x emails off to local MPs
  17. Great looking mixed bag for an afternoon session out of the bay😎
  18. Merry Christmas one & all Thanks Donna,Mods & all fishraiders who’ve helped this great community of fishos get through a trying year l hope the new year sees everyone safe, healthy & happy with many a tight line & hopefully a PB or three

  20. When I saw that first photo I thought it was wiskers but with that saddle in its back I reckon Wiskers has been riding him 😄or is it great fish Jeff 😎& sounds like you guys had a hectic session mixing it up👍
  21. Good report & video, salmon are always good fun on the light gear & as pickles said try & get under the surface feeders, maybe try casting wide of the school & let it sink a bit & then retrieve under them
  22. Those XO slimies are worth knocking some fillets off & trying on the bbq or smoking plus salting down for bait
  23. Some nice flatties in that bag, sounds like you had a good day out
  24. Sounds like you guys had fun, great report & congrats on the PB 👍 Hopefully the bigguns will be there next time 🤞
