  6. There is no reason to remove piston if you muck around with it you may have to bleed the system just use a g clamp or similar to push it in
  7. They just sit there the rotor stops them from falling out
  8. Where your fishing there isn't much current you should be able to get away with a small anchor and less chain. Cut some length off chain and take a shackle if it doesn't hold and need to add more weight
  9. Speaking of insurance can you get third party and how much is it

  14. Hi yakkas can be found at the entrance to Pittwater where the pillboxes are you can't miss it will be boats anchored everywhere. If you go further in up to the red navigation Mark throw some squid jigs around you should get a few it was on fire a few weeks ago if your drifting throw a line out plenty of flathead and flounder there as well good luck
  15. There's a guy on you tube that fishes berowra waters and the hawkesbury who is down to earth and shows different spots and techniques all out of his old tinnie his by show is called freemans speech
  16. Yeah I was referring to frozen squid as bait had some left over so froze it will take it next session see how it goes only used store bought before
  17. Hi all headed down to parsley bay brooklyn around 6 am today intended to do a squid fish early and see if any flathead around outside. Swell was too rough so straight into pittwater .first cast with a (old dirty yamishita 3 )in white was onto a squid tied a spike with a pillie on and drifted around nothing on that .changed that over to a small Orange jig and caught more squid. Most came on white one.Tried to head outside again but still too rough so back to Pittwater squid were going off I caught over a dozen up to 25 cm hood size did use cut squid bait and got smashed a few times got a few small flathead but not worth keeping also pulled up by maritime and fire extinguisher was apparently too rusty I'm meant to get a official warning in mail won't be happy if it's a fine anyway great to be on water again and happy with a feed of squid as I've struggled with them lately I could have got plenty more but don't rate them frozen as bait and normally only get enough for 1 meal for the family so not sure if they freeze ok for food .
  18. Mate don't panic it's probably not a big deal any older boat will need some work.yeah leave the structure to experts if your not confident but fibreglass work is not that hard just slow and messy I've done my transom and floor it is doable
  19. Hey Jenno I agree with not using tap water but I'm a bit wary of the quality of most saltwater for rinsing fillets.most of my fish come from the hawkesbury or pittwater or within a few km offshore so just a bit concerned it's clean
  20. Yeah I wouldn't be eating any sort of seafood that hadn't been kept cool it would be an easy way to get sick
