It's starting to sound like Preston Tucker with the world (Government and night manufacturers) against him building the 48. 😂😂

Noel do the separate out Telwater figures? Do you have any idea on its profitability. I am thinking if BRP bought Telwater to prop up its outboard sales maybe they will put Telwater back on the market. If BRP overpaid maybe the original owners would buy it back? Hopefully it ends up in Aussie hands with manufacturing still here.

Didn't they stop manufacturing for a period years ago as well? I doubt you'd match the hole shot on my boat with any 150 4 stroke.

Oh no. I love my Etec damn it. I guess we have a few years but in 10 years we will be like leppers with a Chrysler.
  5. I saw that. How good is it watching somebody that's a master of their craft? I don't watch the cooking shows but I saw it and hit record I will be watching it again.

How good is that. Shame about the gummy I'd like to catch and try one out too.

    Marine rescue app

Yeah I agree with the cable and keep one on the boat. You can also ring up to log in. Last time I radioed in I was on the other side of the headland and I got no response. I figured I'd radio one again when I moved out but the marine rescue guys heard the boat name and called my mobile. I also have the local marine rescue bases, fisheries and the like in my phone contacts. I generally add extra words so it's more likely to come up if I have a mental blank and use the search function.

    Marine rescue app

Hi John, I use it primarily because of the tracking for that bit more piece of mind. It's a great service. it still pays to do the occasional radio check though which I can be a bit slack with.
  9. Well done the harbour keeps producing kings.
  10. That's a solid king well done.
  11. It's hard to beat a good feed of flatties.
  12. Great advice in the comments above. @zmk1962 with your comment about the difficulties to arrange viewing you reminded me that I once had this situation with a second hand car. It could only be viewed late afternoons after the guy finished work. After the purchase I found out the reason was the guy was serving weekend detention after being convicted of car theft! 😳😳 How I found out that's another story!
  13. What a great family day. I must admit I have always let red gurnard go because they are so pretty despite being claimed to be excellent on the plate.
  14. Great report Keith and a very decent sized Blackie for your efforts.
  15. Great feed Bruce. That was a quick bag out on flatties.
  16. My fishing gloves have fingers in them but all the fingers have a split on the underside so that they can be taken off the finger and Velcro on the top so they can fold back. They aren't a thing of beauty though!
  17. Ok I admit at first glance I thought the title was Wicked Weasel and clicked on it straight away.
  18. I'm loving the recents adds to the kitchen, I'm not much of a cook but who knows. @Yowie might take you up on some fried Mowie!
  19. I find near the tug boats is generally pretty easy before sun up. I have been on a charter @PaddyT uses and we loaded up quickly. @M1100Sgetting squid isn't usually too hard but generally takes a bit more time.
  20. Looks good. I need some more flatties though!
  21. Thanks Zoran. Yep just the two of us no need to buy bait or fuel so straight there and back. Many people are stuck at home with little chance of doing their normal thing so I didn't post. I decided to stay away from the water over Easter but when I had the Monday off I took the opportunity. The only bit of gear I lost all day was a squid jig so that was an added bonus. Mum put in a request for Calamari and flathead so that became our plan.
  22. Hi Sam, We didn't try for snapper just a feed. I was a bit hesitant to post it up.
